Abstract

Alle mennesker kan blive sårbare, hvis bare vi gør os umage. Sårbarhed er nogetvi giver til hinanden. Sårbarhed opstår i relationer og har ikke CPR nummer. Detgælder ikke mindst mennesker der bliver syge, men sårbarhed er ikke noget patienterslæber med ind til lægen – sårbarhed er et potentiale alle menneskerhar. Om det kommer til udtryk, hvordan det kommer til udtryk og hvor stor betydningsårbarheden får afgøres af relationer til pårørende, venner, nærmiljøet,tidligere erfaringer, lægen, sygeplejersken og den måde sundhedsvæsnet er organiseretpå. Sårbarheden kan forstærkes af social ulighed.Læger der bliver syge skriver bøger om de ofte ydmygende oplevelser de havdesom patienter og læger der nærmer sig pensionsalderen (gen-) opdager somåbenbaringer at patienter har et interessant iv udenfor sundhedsvæsnet. Lægerhar ikke et fag om hvordan patienter lever, overlever, tiden mellem lægekontrollerneog de skjulte behandlingsbyrder patienter og deres pårørende pålægges.Denne bog forsøger at skabe skabe mere opmærksomhed omlægernes blindeplet, også kaldet patientologi, ved at fokusere på hvad læger kan gøre for at reducereden sårbarhed, der naturligt følger af at blive syg og samtidig skulle leveet tåleligt liv.
