Bioseguridad en el sector de enfermería de terapia intensiva de una institución privada de salud en la ciudad de Salta

Abstract

La presente investigación se enfocará en los enfermeros del área de terapia intensiva, ya que los trabajadores de la salud están expuestos a diferentes factores de riesgo entre los cuales destacamos el Riesgo Biológico, que consiste en la presencia de un organismo, o una sustancia derivada de este, que puede generar o producir una amenaza en la salud tanto de los operarios como de los pacientes. Aquí podemos incluir los residuos sanitarios, muestras de microrganismos, virus o toxinas (de una fuente biológica) que puede resultar patogénica. Dentro de las enfermedades más comunes asociadas a contagios de este tipo se destaca la hepatitis VHB, VHC el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana, COVID-19, por el contacto directo e indirecto, permanente o temporal, con el material orgánico proveniente de la prestación de servicio de salud.
