Consumos y comparación de noticias falsas en Whatsapp sobre el COVID-19 entre adultos mayores
Lo que se ha investigado en esta tesis fue del uso y cotejo de información por parte de dos grupos de adultos mayores que cursan talleres de capacitación en Uso de celulares y en Memoria en la Universidad Abierta de la Tercera Edad (UNATE). A través de una investigación descriptiva, se buscó saber si logran distinguir fake news o noticias falsas a través de la red social WhatsApp. Para ello, se usó una encuesta cuyo cuestionario fue enviado a ambos grupos, y que fueron contestados por 42 personas, 21 de cada taller. Los resultados arrojaron distintos matices, con una superioridad de los adultos mayores del taller de Memoria, con más respuestas correctas que incorrectas en los ejercicios planteados en la encuesta. Las conclusiones fueron que el taller de Memoria, hizo un mejor cotejo de información verídica-falsa que los alumnos de Uso de celulares. De manera que el supuesto de investigación fue refutado porque se suponía que ellos debían conocer más conceptos tecnológicos que sus pares, al querer aprender a manejar celulares y conocer cómo fluye la información a través de las redes sociales digitales.
