Abstract
The data include results of the online cross-sectional study about the association between Instagram addiction (Bergen Instagram Addiction Scale, BIAS), loneliness (de Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale, DJGLS), and life satisfaction (Satisfaction with Life Scale, SWLS). A sample of 954 university students from Poland, aged between 19 and 42 (M = 22.56, SD = 2.36), with a prevalence of women (86.48%), participated in the online survey during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students were recruited via Facebook by snowball sampling method. A prevalence of Instagram addiction, loneliness, and life satisfaction was explored during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, the mediating role of loneliness on the bidirectional association between Instagram addiction and life satisfaction was examined in the study.
