Shaming of ethnic minorities

Abstract
This project investigates if it is perceived as more acceptable to shame ethnic minorities in comparison to the majority in Denmark during the COVID-19 pandemic. To gain insight into the above, the theoretical foundation of the project is theories about norms, dual-process and ingroup-outgroup. Based on the theories mentioned, our hypothesis is that it is more acceptable to shame ethnic minorities compared to the majority. This hypothesis is tested through a survey experiment where respondents are asked to assess different scenarios including shaming of people with both minority and majority associated names.
