Abstract
This paper uncovers the importance of social interaction and -relationships in relation to voluntary employment. Through four qualitative interviews, the study concludes that a main challenge existing in the organization, Carpark Festival, is inclusion of new volunteers within the established community. As a result of COVID-19 and the imposed restrictions, it has been significantly challenging to embrace the social inclusion of new volunteers. An effective way to encourage relationships between new- and established volunteers is to create a culture with the incorporation of mutual dialogue.
