Pandémie et politique: un moteur pour le populisme de droite au Québec?

Abstract

International audience; Au Québec, la gestion de la pandémie a entraîné un certain mécontentement envers les actions gouvernementales. Cela pourrait paver la voie à une consolidation de la droite politique autour d’une nouvelle option populiste. En présence d’une partie non négligeable de la population qui est réfractaire à la gestion de crise par le gouvernement de la Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), un nouveau « marché » électoral semble émerger. Cela est d’autant plus vrai que tous les autres partis ayant fait élire des candidat-e-s aux élections de 2018 ont généralement appuyé dans l’ensemble les actions gouvernementales, ce qui laisse peu de choix politique aux personnes qui doutent de leur bien-fondé. Cela nous amène à nous poser cette question : le Québec serait-il en train de se diriger vers un nouveau moment populiste?
