COVID-19 pandemisinde postpartum erken dönemde emzirme yönetimi

The globally occurring COVID - 19 outbreak has spread gradually, turning into a pandemic and has become a serious public health problem throughout the world. The COVID - 19 outbreak has had negative consequences on the health, economic and social structures of countries. When looking at the way of transmission, it is seen that there is a person-to-person transmission after contact with the droplet, after contact, enterally, from conjunctival, mucosal and contaminated environmental surfaces. The rapid spread, lack of treatment, and high risk of mortality and morbidity increase the negative effects of the disease. Sufficient studies have not been reached yet about seeing Covid-19 during pregnancy. COVID‐ 19 infection poses a major concern for newborn care and breastfeeding, as well as its potential consequences for pregnant women and the fetus. In particular, the care of mother and newborn and the safety of breastfeeding are questioned in the postpartum period. During breastfeeding, the skin contact, smell and temperature of the mother and baby provide hormonal stimulation in the mother, both increasing the release of milk and creating a relaxation and low stress effect in the mother. In this regard, the compliance of COVID - 19 infected mothers and newborns in the postpartum period with an appropriate care process is important. Küresel çapta etki gösteren COVID ‐ 19 salgını giderek yayılarak, bir pandemiye dönüşmüş ve tüm dünya da ciddi bir halk sağlığı sorunu haline gelmiştir. COVID‐19 salgını ülkelerin sağlık, ekonomik ve sosyal yapıları üzerinde olumsuz sonuçlara yol açmıştır. Bulaş yollarına bakıldığında temelde enfekte olmuş bir kişiden damlacık yoluyla, temas sonrası enteral yoldan, konjonktival, mukozal ve kontamine olmuş çevresel yüzeylerle temastan sonra insandan insana bulaşın olduğu görülmektedir. Yayılımın hızlı olması, bir tedavisinin olmaması, mortalite ve morbidite riskinin yüksek olması hastalığın yarattığı olumsuz etkileri arttırmaktadır. Gebelik döneminde Covid-19 görülmesi hakkında henüz yeterli sayıda çalışmaya ulaşılmamıştır. COVID‐ 19 enfeksiyonu, gebe kadın ve fetüsün üzerindeki olası sonuçlarının yanı sıra yenidoğan bakımı ve emzirmesi açısından büyük bir endişe yaratmaktadır. Özellikle, postpartum dönemde anne ve yenidoğanın bakımı ve emzirmenin güvenliği sorgulanmaktadır. Emzirme süresince anne ile bebeğin ten teması, kokusu ve sıcaklığı annede hormonal uyarı sağlayarak hem süt salınımını artırmakta hem de annede gevşeme ve düşük stres etkisi oluşturmaktadır. Bu bakımdan postpartum dönemde COVID ‐ 19 enfeksiyonlu anne ve yenidoğanın uyumu uygun bir bakım süreci ile yönetimi önemlidir. No sponsor
