    Authors: Lima, Carla Filipa Monteiro;

    The present investigation focused on the reality of the traditional Portuguese toy, on its general history, its manufacture and commercialization and, later on, on the attribution of value of which it was object as a patrimonial asset, when it was believed that toys express sociocultural values. In this dissertation we also look at the importance of toys being considered as cultural heritage and of their musealization for their appreciation and safeguarding. Therefore, we chose the Museu do Brinquedo Português de Ponte de Lima (Portuguese Toy Museum in Ponte de Lima) as a case study and, in order to better understand its action today, we conducted an interview with the Coordinator of this Museum, Doctor Ana Carneiro, to better understand the different working methods carried out at the Museum, what are its impacts on this kind of cultural heritage and what activities does the Museum promote within the community. A presente investigação centrou-se na realidade do brinquedo tradicional português, na sua história geral, no seu fabrico e comercialização e, mais tarde, na atribuição de valor do qual foi objeto enquanto bem patrimonial, entendendo-se que o brinquedo expressa valores socioculturais. Nesta dissertação debruçamo-nos também sobre a importância da patrimonialização e musealização para a valorização e salvaguarda do brinquedo. Assim, escolhemos como estudo de caso o Museu do Brinquedo Português de Ponte de Lima e, para melhor compreender a sua ação na atualidade, fizemos uma entrevista à Coordenadora deste Museu, Doutora Ana Carneiro, também com o objetivo de melhor ficar a conhecer os diversos métodos de trabalho levados a cabo no Museu, quais os seus impactos neste património e quais as atividades promovidas junto da comunidade.     Authors: Pereira, Inês Alexandra da Silva;

    There is much debate about the concept of the Museum. However, it is unanimous that it is a basic element for the transmission of knowledge and social dynamism of a given community. In the case of the municipality of Viana do Castelo (Alto Minho, Portugal), the will to create a space that would demonstrate the memory, customs and traditions of vianese people made the present object of case study germinate: the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo. The purpose of this case study is to make known an Ethnographic institution that contextualizes and studies several aspects related to Museology, Ethnography and a set of objects and knowledge that were and are part of the construction of the local cultural identity of vianense. But is the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo a builder of the local vianense cultural identity? What are the diffusers of the construction of the local vianense cultural identity? There are several questions that need to be answered, however, in order to achieve the above mentioned objectives, it is necessary to mention the main purpose of this Master's dissertation, which includes the answer to the following starting question: “What is the role of the Museum of Costume of Viana do Castelo in the construction of the Local Cultural Identity of Vianense?”. In order to answer the question and the resulting objectives, digital and non-digital bibliographic references on the construction of the local cultural identity of vianense were analysed, using methodologies of an essentially qualitative nature. To conclude, it is possible to admit that currently the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo has an active role in the construction of the local vianense cultural identity through the conservation and transmission to future generations of the knowledge, memory and traditions of vianense. This is made through a set of cultural symbols that are diffusers of the construction of the local vianense cultural identity. Muito se debate sobre o conceito de Museu, no entanto, é unânime que ele é um elemento básico para a transmissão de conhecimentos e dinamização social de uma determinada comunidade. No caso do concelho de Viana do Castelo (Alto Minho, Portugal), a vontade de criar um espaço que demonstrasse a memória, os costumes e tradições vianenses fizeram com que germinasse o presente objeto de estudo de caso: o Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo. O que se pretende com o presente estudo de caso é dar a conhecer uma instituição Etnográfica que contextualiza e estuda vários aspetos relacionados com a Museologia, Etnografia e um conjunto de objetos e saberes que faziam e fazem parte da construção da identidade cultural local vianense. Mas será o Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo um construtor da identidade cultural local vianense? Quais os difusores da construção da identidade cultural local vianense? Existem diversas questões às quais é preciso se dar resposta, porém, para atingir os objetivos supracitados, é necessário referir o principal propósito da presente dissertação de mestrado, que passa pela resposta à seguinte pergunta de partida: “Qual o papel do Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo na construção da Identidade Cultural Local Vianense?”. De forma a responder à questão e a objetivos dela decorrentes, foram analisadas referências bibliográficas digitais e não digitais sobre a temática da construção da identidade cultural local vianense, recorrendo-se a metodologias de cariz essencialmente qualitativo. Chegou-se à conclusão de que o Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo possui um papel ativo na construção da identidade cultural local vianense através da conservação e transmissão, às gerações futuras, do conhecimento, memória e tradições vianenses através de um conjunto de símbolos culturais que são difusores da construção da identidade cultural local vianense.     Authors: Carvalho, Caroline Almeida de;

    As relações comerciais entre a América Latina e a União Europeia começaram a desabrochar em 1986, época de admissão de Portugal e Espanha como membros desta. No ano de 2020, México e União Europeia celebram 20 anos desde a assinatura do Tratado de Livre Comércio que promoveu o intercâmbio de bens e serviços. Assim sendo, escolheu-se estrategicamente realizar o evento em tal ano como forma de celebrar este importante acordo entre os países. Intitulado Viva la Vida, Viva la Gastronomia, o projeto idealiza a criação de um evento artísticogastronômico de resgate das tradições mexicanas através da gastronomia e da arte de Frida Kahlo, artista que celebrou, por meio da pintura, a gastronomia tradicional e conventual, a história e a cultura mexicanas. Neste sentido, convém passar em revista episódios que marcaram a história da artista; do México; temas e motivos de sua obra; e os aspectos da preparação do evento (processo de avaliação, análise estratégica, planejamento de marketing e de um plano de comunicação eficaz para sua divulgação). Eventos constituem valiosas estratégias de comunicação, pois envolvem relacionamento, retenção e adaptação de categorias propostas por meio da análise do público e de sua recepção ou não da culinária, produto ou técnicas apresentadas naquela oportunidade. Ademais, configuram um método eficaz de aproximação e manutenção do cliente, propiciando o estabelecimento de uma relação duradoura (Grönroos, 1995; Gummesson, 2005; Lovelock & Mello, 2008). As técnicas de trabalho desenvolvidas demonstram a necessidade de vincular os elementos da arte de Frida Kahlo ao turismo gastronômico. O estabelecimento de uma comunicação criativa, expositiva e de conveniência constroem a base da informação que será apresentada neste evento. The business relations between Latin America and the European Union began to spread in 1986, the period of Portugal and Spain admission as members. By 2020, Mexico and the European Union celebrate 20 years since they sign the Free Trade Agreement, which promoted the exchange of goods and services. Therefore, it was strategically chosen to hold the event that year as a way to celebrate this important agreement between countries. Entitle as Viva la Vida, Viva la Gastronomia, the project idealizes the creation of an event artisticgastronomic to rescue the Mexican traditions through Frida Kahlo's gastronomy, and art, the artist who celebrated, through painting, traditional and conventual gastronomy, the Mexican history and culture. In this sense, it is convenient to review episodes that marked the artist's history; from Mexico; themes and motives of her work; and aspects of event preparation (evaluation process, strategic analysis, marketing planning, and an effective communication plan for its dissemination). Events are valuable communication strategies, as they involve relationship, retention, and adaptation of proposed categories through the analysis of the public and their reception or not of the cuisine, product, or techniques presented at that opportunity. Besides, they are an effective method of approaching and maintaining the client, enabling the establishment of a lasting relationship (Grönroos, 1995; Gummesson, 2005; Lovelock & Mello, 2008). The work techniques developed to demonstrate the need to link the elements of Frida Kahlo's art to gastronomic tourism. The establishment of creative, expository, and convenient communication forms the basis for the information that will be presented at this event.     Authors: Teixeira, Laura Mineiro;

    Reconhecida enquanto uma das maiores manifestações religiosas de Portugal, a Procissão em Honra de Nosso Senhor dos Navegantes, realizada anualmente no maior núcleo piscatório do país – a área que abarca os lugares das Caxinas e de Poça da Barca, em Vila do Conde –, envolve toda a comunidade num processo de rearmação de sua identidade, fortemente marcada pela relação com o mar, as perdas e a memória. Compreende-se a Procissão enquanto um lugar de memória (Nora, 1993) das gentes do mar, por ser um momento em que as lembranças relacionadas ao seu modo de vida são alegoricamente reproduzidas e, consequentemente, transmitidas para as próximas gerações, garantindo assim uma coesão, gerada a partir de uma memória coletiva, entre os indivíduos da comunidade. Este trabalho vislumbra, portanto, compreender a relevância dos espaços de sociabilidade na formação da identidade desta comunidade piscatória, bem como analisar as memórias dos pescadores das Caxinas em relação à Festa, que é um elemento basilar para o reforço de suas identidades. Propõe-se, assim, a inscrição da Procissão no Inventário Nacional do Património Cultural Imaterial, visto que esta é uma forma de salvaguardar uma celebração que, para além de reforçar a alteridade compreendida na sociedade portuguesa moderna, ainda possui aspectos comuns a outras comunidades piscatórias do país, devendo, portanto, ser valorizada e difundida a nível nacional. Recognized as one of the largest religious manifestations in Portugal, the Procession in Honor of Nosso Senhor dos Navegantes, held annually in the largest fishing center in the country – the Caxinas and Poça da Barca area, in Vila do Conde –, involves the whole community in a process of reaffirmation of their identity, strongly marked by the relationship with the sea, losses and their memory. The Procession is understood as a place of memory (Nora, 1993) of the people of the sea, as it is a time when the memories related to their way of life are allegorically reproduced and, consequently, transmitted to the next generations, thus guaranteeing a cohesion, generated from a collective memory, between the people of the community. Therefore, this work aims to comprehend the relevance of spaces of sociability in the construction of the identity of this fishing community, as well as to analyze the memories of Caxinas fishermen related to the Procession, which is a basic element for the reinforcement of their identities. Thus, it is proposed to enroll the Procession in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage, since this is a way of safeguarding a celebration that, in addition to reinforcing the differences in modern Portuguese society, still has aspects in common with other fishing communities over the country and should, therefore, be valued and disseminated at national level.     Authors: Moleirinho, Andrea Cateano;

    A salvaguarda do património cultural edificado tem sofrido ao longo dos tempos um certo descaso e abandono por parte das autarquias e de alguns particulares empobrecendo o acervo patrimonial português. Com a modificação ou demolição de alguns edifícios a autoria desse património vê-se prejudicada. O presente estudo pretende expor algumas obras de edifícios bancários executadas em Portugal pelo arquiteto Ernesto Korrodi no período da 1.ª República. Com isto traz ao conhecimento alguns edifícios ainda existentes que conectam ao seu tempo a arquitetura de uma época onde a modernização se alia a tradição e importância das agências bancárias: templo do dinheiro e progresso. The safeguarding of the built cultural heritage has, over time, suffered a certain neglect and abandonment by the municipalities and some individuals, impoverishing the Portuguese heritage collection. With the modification or demolition of some buildings, the authorship of this heritage is impaired. The present study intends to expose some bank building works executed in Portugal by the architect Ernesto Korrodi in the period of the 1st Republic. This brings to light some still existing buildings that connect the architecture of a time when modernization joins the tradition and importance of bank branches: the temple of money and progress.     Authors: Pinto, Thomas Fernandes;

    Combinando o propósito de refletir sobre promoção cultural e de desenvolver um projeto de intervenção, este projeto de Mestrado em Comunicação, Arte e Cultura tem como principal objeto a organização de uma exposição sobre Vila Verde. Esta atividade irá basear-se na cultura e na história da vila e concelho, tentando deste modo mostrar o que o concelho tem para oferecer à população local e aos visitantes. Para realizar esta exposição, este projeto contou com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Vila Verde que, apesar de não contribuir com um valor monetário direto, “patrocinou” a organização com a disponibilização do espaço (a Biblioteca Professor Machado Vilela), assim como com outros tipos de apoios logísticos. Para além dos aspetos práticos inerentes à organização do evento, a Câmara Municipal de Vila Verde também disponibilizou ajuda no levantamento de documentação sobre a história do concelho. A exposição foi feita na Biblioteca Professor Machado Vilela, o Salão Nobre, onde esta se realizou, contem uma caixa com o propósito de fazer projeções. Nessa mesma caixa foi projetado um minidocumentário com testemunhos da história do concelho, a cultura e estórias da sua gente. Na parte de fora da caixa e no resto da sala foram exibidos alguns objetos de elementos culturais e fotografias de pontos de interesse de Vila Verde. A exposição decorreu entre o dia catorze de setembro de 2019, e o dia doze de outubro do mesmo ano. Estes e outros termos foram discutidos com a Dra. Júlia Fernandes, vereadora da educação e da cultura de Vila Verde, e com os orientadores do presente projeto de intervenção, a Prof. Madalena Oliveira e o Prof. Jean Yves Durand. Combining the purpose of reflecting on cultural promotion and developing an intervention project, this master’s project in Communication, Art and Culture has as its main object the organization of an exhibition about Vila Verde. This activity will be based on the culture and history of the village and municipality, thus trying to show what the municipality has to offer to the local population and visitors. To hold this exhibition, this project had the support of the Municipality of Vila Verde which, despite not contributing with a direct monetary value, "sponsored" the organization with the availability of the space (the Library Professor Machado Vilela), as well as other types of logistical support. Besides the practical aspects inherent to the organization of the event, the Municipality of Vila Verde also provided help in gathering documentation about the history of the municipality. The exhibition was held at the Professor Machado Vilela Library, the Noble Hall, where it was held, and contains a box with the purpose of making projections. In this same box was projected a minidocumentary with testimonies of the history of the municipality, the culture and stories of its people. In the outside of the box and in the rest of the room some objects of cultural elements and photographs of points of interest of Vila Verde were shown. The exhibition took place between September 14, 2019 and October 12 of the same year. These and other terms were discussed with Dr. Júlia Fernandes, Councillor for Education and Culture of Vila Verde, and with the orientators of this intervention project, Prof. Madalena Oliveira and Prof. Jean Yves Durand.     Authors: Magalhães, Joana Malta;

    O tema central deste trabalho é a idealização de uma plataforma, preferencialmente online, que conjuga três áreas distintas, mas ligadas entre si, nomeadamente, a moda, a arte e a cultura. Com aquele fim, de criar uma plataforma de comunicação, apresentamos os diferentes estágios necessários para lá chegar, mas não sem antes percorrermos algumas outras plataformas, designadamente, pela análise de revistas, que, sem dúvida, nos influenciaram. Sabemos que a moda é volátil, transforma-se e evolui com a sociedade. E a melhor forma de transmitir essas mudanças é através das plataformas de comunicação. É, pois, essa a nossa intenção com este trabalho, revelar essas mudanças e aceitá-las, tomando-as como inspiração e referência, mas idealizando algo novo, diferente e dinâmico ao introduzir a arte e a cultura num mundo já muito vivido como é o da moda. Foi a isso que nos propusemos e foi isso que criamos, uma plataforma de moda, arte e cultura, sem rótulos, acessível a todos. A intenção é num futuro próximo este protótipo que aqui apresentamos se traduza numa realidade, numa verdadeira e publicada revista de moda, arte e cultura, que qualquer pessoa possa comprar e apreciar, ultrapassando-se, assim, um vazio há muito existente na nossa imprensa, em que a moda, a arte e a cultura se ligam e se tornam uma. Para que assim se veja a Moda como verdadeira forma de Arte. The central theme of this work is the idealization of a platform, preferably online, which combines three distinct areas, but linked together, namely, fashion, art and culture. To that end, to create a communication platform, we present the different stages necessary to get there, but not without first going through some other platforms, namely, through the analysis of magazines, which undoubtedly influenced us. We know that fashion is volatile, it changes and evolves with society. And the best way to communicate these changes is through communication platforms. It is, therefore, our intention with this work, to reveal these changes and accept them, taking them as inspiration and reference, but idealizing something new, different and dynamic when introducing art and culture in a world that is already very lived as it is the fashion world. That's what we set out to do and that's what we created, a fashion, art and culture platform, without labels, accessible to everyone. The intention is that in the near future this prototype that we present here will translate into a reality, in a true and published fashion, art and culture magazine, that anyone can buy and appreciate, thus overcoming a vacuum that has long existed in our press, in which fashion, art and culture connect and become one. So that fashion is seen as a true art form. Dissertação de mestrado em Design de Comunicação de Moda

    Authors: Nogueira, Afonso Manuel Salazar;

    Esta dissertação, inserida no projeto de dissertação de mestrado em Engenharia e Gestão de Sistemas de Informação do departamento de Sistemas de Informação da Universidade do Minho, tem como tema “Comparação de Desempenho de Algoritmos de Machine Learning na Classificação de IT Incident Tickets”, que deriva do estágio profissional que o autor realizou no Grupo Petrotec. Todos os dias, colaboradores dos inúmeros departamentos da instituição reportam incidentes tecnológicos, isto é, problemas relacionados com os mais variados elementos de trabalho do seu quotidiano que, a priori, possam ser resolvidos pelos profissionais de TI. Quando se deparam com algum problema, dirigem-se a uma plataforma onde podem detalhar categórica e textualmente o incidente ocorrido, de forma a que o support agent perceba facilmente o cerne da questão. Contudo, nem todos os colaboradores são rigorosos e precisos a descrever o incidente, onde, por muitas vezes, se verifica uma categoria totalmente desfasada com a descrição textual do ticket, o que torna mais demorada a dedução da solução por parte do profissional. Nesta dissertação, é proposta uma solução que visa atribuir uma categoria ao novo incident ticket através da classificação do mesmo, especificando o técnico informático especializado na solução do incidente em questão, sendo um mecanismo que recorre a técnicas de Text Mining, Processamento de Linguagem Natural (PLN) e Machine Learning que tenta reduzir ao máximo a intervenção humana na classificação dos tickets, diminuindo o tempo gasto na perceção e resolução dos mesmos. Com isso, a classificação do atributo relativo à descrição textual do ticket vai ser fulcral para a dedução do agente informático a resolver o incidente. Os resultados obtidos foram bastante satisfatórios, decifrando qual os melhores procedimentos de processamento textual a serem realizados, obtendo posteriormente, na maior parte dos modelos de classificação utilizados, uma acuidade superior a 90%, o que torna legítima a implementação de todas as metodologias adotadas num cenário real, isto é, no Grupo Petrotec. No que concerne à recolha, processamento e mining dos dados, teve-se em conta a metodologia Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) e como metodologia de investigação utilizou-se a Design Science Research (DSR). This dissertation, included in the master's thesis project in Engineering and Management of Information Systems of the Information Systems department of the University of Minho, has the theme ‘Performance Comparison of Machine Learning Algorithms in Classifying IT Incident Tickets’, which derives from the professional internship that the author performed at Petrotec Group. Every day, employees from the numerous departments of the institution report technological incidents, that is, problems related to the most varied elements of their daily work that can be solved by IT professionals. When faced with a problem, they go to a platform where they can categorically and verbally detail the incident that occurred, so that the 'support agent' easily understands the heart of the matter. However, not all employees are rigorous and accurate in describing the incident, where there is often a category that is totally out of step with the textual description of the ticket, which makes the professional's deduction from the solution more time consuming. In this dissertation, a solution is proposed which aims to assign a category to the new incident ticket through the classification of the same, specifying the specialized support agent in solving the incident in question, being a mechanism, which uses Text Mining, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning techniques and tries to reduce as much as possible the human intervention in the classification of the tickets, decreasing the time spent in their perception and resolution. Therefore, the classification of the attribute related to the ticket's textual description will be central to the assignment of the ‘support agent’ to solve the incident. The results obtained were quite satisfactory, deciphering the best textual processing procedures to be carried out, subsequently obtaining, in most of the classification models used, an accuracy of more than 90%, which makes the implementation of all the methodologies adopted in a real scenario legitimate, that is, in the Petrotec Group. Regarding to data collection, processing and mining, the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology was taken into account and Design Science Research (DSR) was used as the research methodology.     Authors: Silva, Priscila Roberta Soares da;

    The theme of this dissertation addresses the methods used to classify a popular festival as Intangible Cultural Heritage, specifically in the case of Bugiada and Mouriscada and Pastoril. For this analysis, this study explores concepts that involve the popular festival, the intangible cultural heritage and its legislation. Next, conceptualize Bugiada and Pastoril to later identify the party's aptitude for national inventory and application processes to UNESCO lists. To address these themes, authors such as Andrade (2002) are used; Amaral (2008); Brandão and Marquer (2015); Cabral (2011); Costa (2012); Durkheim (2008); França and Souza (2018); Cavalcanti and Fonseca (2008); Lopes (2018); Oliveira (2008); Pinto (2000); Pinto (2016); Pessoa (2011) and Sousa (2015). Regarding the methodology adopted, the approach is qualitative. The method of procedure is phenomenological, the technical means are supported by the observational and comparative method, the level of research is exploratory and the techniques of data collection are bibliographic research, interviews and case study, these analyzes are based on the content proposed by Gil (2008). The data analysis technique is discourse analysis, supported by Bastos and Oliveira (2015) and document analysis, suggested by Bonotto et. at. (2015). The research corpus consists of 7 interviews and 9 reports from 9 vehicles that include newspapers, magazines, news portals, newsletters and bulletins from Portugal and Brazil, from 2003 to 2019. It was found that Bugiada e Mouriscada represents a successful case since it is already in the inventory process. In turn, Pastoril enjoys little political and social articulation, a fact that makes it impossible for him to qualify. O tema desta dissertação aborda os métodos utilizados para classificar uma festa popular como Património Cultural Imaterial, especificamente no caso da Bugiada e Mouriscada e do Pastoril. Para tal análise, este estudo explora conceitos que envolvem a festa popular, o património cultural imaterial e a sua legislação. Em seguida conceitua a Bugiada e o Pastoril para depois identificar a aptidão da festa aos processos de inventariação nacional e de candidatura às listas da UNESCO. Para tratar esses temas são utilizados autores como Andrade (2002); Amaral (2008); Brandão e Marquer (2015); Cabral (2011); Costa (2012); Durkheim (2008); França e Souza (2018); Cavalcanti e Fonseca (2008); Lopes (2018); Oliveira (2008); Pinto (2000); Pinto (2016); Pessoa (2011) e Sousa (2015). A respeito da metodologia adotada a abordagem é qualitativa. O método de procedimento é o fenomenológico, os meios técnicos se apoiam no método observacional e comparativo, o nível de pesquisa é exploratório e as técnicas de coleta de dados são pesquisas bibliográficas, entrevistas e estudo de caso, essas análises se baseiam no conteúdo proposto por Gil (2008). A técnica de análise de dados é a análise do discurso, apoiada por Bastos e Oliveira (2015) e análise documental, sugerida por Bonotto et. at. (2015). O corpus de pesquisa é composto por 7 entrevistas e 9 reportagens de 9 veículos que englobam jornal, revista, portais de notícias, informativo e boletim de Portugal e Brasil, de 2003 a 2019. Foi constatado que a Bugiada e Mouriscada representa um caso bem-sucedido, tendo em vista que já se encontra em processo de inventariação. Por sua vez, o Pastoril goza de pouca articulação política e social, fato que lhe impossibilita à titulação. Dissertação de mestrado em Comunicação, Arte e Cultura

    Authors: Esteves, Maria Vieira;

    O presente Relatório de Estágio Profissional é o resultado da Intervenção Pedagógica Supervisionada realizada numa turma de 7º ano de escolaridade do Ensino Básico, tendo o propósito de apresentar o trabalho realizado com 25 alunos sobre a produção de narrativas históricas, em aula, como veículo de construção do seu conhecimento histórico e do desenvolvimento da sua compreensão histórica. Todo o trabalho, teórico e prático, foi desenvolvido a partir dos princípios e propósitos da Educação Histórica (Schmidt e Urban, 2018), aplicado através do paradigma educativo designado de aula oficina (Barca, 2004), com tarefas que respondessem ao disposto nas Aprendizagens Essenciais em articulação com o Perfil dos Alunos (2018). Assim, desenvolveu-se o modo como os alunos criam e fazem sentido da narrativa histórica a partir dos conteúdos relativos à Antiguidade Clássica – “O Mundo Helénico” e “Roma e o Império”. A escolha de trabalhar a construção de narrativas históricas com os alunos, do ponto de vista substantivo e meta-histórico, prende-se com a importância da narrativa para a própria História enquanto disciplina/ciência e pelas suas potencialidades ao nível do processo de ensino-aprendizagem, quer na dimensão cognitiva, quer metacognitiva. A narrativa histórica é aqui definida, numa linha narrativista (Gallie e Atkinson, 1964; Barca e Gago, 2004), como sendo a “face material” da História. Assim, entende-se a narrativa histórica como descritiva e explicativa, tecida com base em evidência multiperspetivada, que procura responder a uma questão, ou questões, histórica(s). Ao longo das 25 aulas os alunos produziram várias narrativas, sendo três delas aqui analisadas e categorizadas, de modo a aferir como evoluíram na sua construção, quer ao nível dos conteúdos, quer ao nível da forma. A grande questão desta investigação era perceber se as práticas regulares de sistematização, com a produção de narrativas históricas em aula, contribuíam para o desenvolvimento da construção de conhecimento e pensamento histórico dos alunos e, consequentemente, para melhorar o seu rendimento escolar à disciplina. As narrativas históricas produzidas são os dados que analisamos qualitativa e indutivamente para a construção de um sentido conceptual expresso em categorias que emergiram através de um processo inspirado nas propostas da codificação de dados da Grounded Theory. Os dados analisados parecem demonstrar que houve uma progressão do pensamento e da competência narrativa dos alunos, bem como as classificações finais à disciplina demonstram uma melhoria no rendimento escolar. This Internship Report is the result of a Supervised Pedagogical Intervention, in a 7th grade class, and aims to present the work done with 25 students on the production of historical narratives, as a means for building their historical knowledge and the development of their historical understanding. All theoretical and practical work was developed based on the principles and purposes of Historical Education (Schmidt and Urban, 2018), applied through a workshop-class model (Barca, 2004), with tasks that answered the points of the Learning. Students' Essentials and Profile (2018). With this, there was a development of the way that students create and understand the historical narrative from the syllabus of Classical Antiquity - “Ancient Greece” and “Rome and the Empire”. The choice of working on the construction of historical narratives with students, from the substantial and meta-historical perspective, relates to the importance of the narrative for History itself as a discipline / science and for its potentialities in the teaching process both in the cognitive and metacognitive dimensions. The concept of historical narrative is defined here as being the “material face” of History (Gallie and Atkinson, 1964; Barca and Gago, 2004). As such, historical narrative is understood as being a descriptive and explanatory narrative, based on multiperspective evidence, which seeks to answer one or several historical questions. Throughout the 25 sessions the students produced several narratives, three of which were analyzed and categorized here, in order to gauge their evolution in the narrative production, both in content and in form. The main question of the present investigation was to understand if regular systematization practices, with the production of historical narratives in class, contributed to the development of students' knowledge building and historical thinking and, consequently, to improve their academic performance in the discipline. The produced narratives are the analyzed data for the creation of a conceptual sense expressed in emerging categories through a procedure inspired in the data codification present in Grounded Theory. The results of the narrative analysis seem to indicate that there has been a progression of the understanding and capability of the students, as well as an improvement of academic success represented by the final grade in the discipline.     The present investigation focused on the reality of the traditional Portuguese toy, on its general history, its manufacture and commercialization and, later on, on the attribution of value of which it was object as a patrimonial asset, when it was believed that toys express sociocultural values. In this dissertation we also look at the importance of toys being considered as cultural heritage and of their musealization for their appreciation and safeguarding. Therefore, we chose the Museu do Brinquedo Português de Ponte de Lima (Portuguese Toy Museum in Ponte de Lima) as a case study and, in order to better understand its action today, we conducted an interview with the Coordinator of this Museum, Doctor Ana Carneiro, to better understand the different working methods carried out at the Museum, what are its impacts on this kind of cultural heritage and what activities does the Museum promote within the community. A presente investigação centrou-se na realidade do brinquedo tradicional português, na sua história geral, no seu fabrico e comercialização e, mais tarde, na atribuição de valor do qual foi objeto enquanto bem patrimonial, entendendo-se que o brinquedo expressa valores socioculturais. Nesta dissertação debruçamo-nos também sobre a importância da patrimonialização e musealização para a valorização e salvaguarda do brinquedo. Assim, escolhemos como estudo de caso o Museu do Brinquedo Português de Ponte de Lima e, para melhor compreender a sua ação na atualidade, fizemos uma entrevista à Coordenadora deste Museu, Doutora Ana Carneiro, também com o objetivo de melhor ficar a conhecer os diversos métodos de trabalho levados a cabo no Museu, quais os seus impactos neste património e quais as atividades promovidas junto da comunidade.     Authors: Pereira, Inês Alexandra da Silva;

    There is much debate about the concept of the Museum. However, it is unanimous that it is a basic element for the transmission of knowledge and social dynamism of a given community. In the case of the municipality of Viana do Castelo (Alto Minho, Portugal), the will to create a space that would demonstrate the memory, customs and traditions of vianese people made the present object of case study germinate: the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo. The purpose of this case study is to make known an Ethnographic institution that contextualizes and studies several aspects related to Museology, Ethnography and a set of objects and knowledge that were and are part of the construction of the local cultural identity of vianense. But is the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo a builder of the local vianense cultural identity? What are the diffusers of the construction of the local vianense cultural identity? There are several questions that need to be answered, however, in order to achieve the above mentioned objectives, it is necessary to mention the main purpose of this Master's dissertation, which includes the answer to the following starting question: “What is the role of the Museum of Costume of Viana do Castelo in the construction of the Local Cultural Identity of Vianense?”. In order to answer the question and the resulting objectives, digital and non-digital bibliographic references on the construction of the local cultural identity of vianense were analysed, using methodologies of an essentially qualitative nature. To conclude, it is possible to admit that currently the Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo has an active role in the construction of the local vianense cultural identity through the conservation and transmission to future generations of the knowledge, memory and traditions of vianense. This is made through a set of cultural symbols that are diffusers of the construction of the local vianense cultural identity. Muito se debate sobre o conceito de Museu, no entanto, é unânime que ele é um elemento básico para a transmissão de conhecimentos e dinamização social de uma determinada comunidade. No caso do concelho de Viana do Castelo (Alto Minho, Portugal), a vontade de criar um espaço que demonstrasse a memória, os costumes e tradições vianenses fizeram com que germinasse o presente objeto de estudo de caso: o Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo. O que se pretende com o presente estudo de caso é dar a conhecer uma instituição Etnográfica que contextualiza e estuda vários aspetos relacionados com a Museologia, Etnografia e um conjunto de objetos e saberes que faziam e fazem parte da construção da identidade cultural local vianense. Mas será o Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo um construtor da identidade cultural local vianense? Quais os difusores da construção da identidade cultural local vianense? Existem diversas questões às quais é preciso se dar resposta, porém, para atingir os objetivos supracitados, é necessário referir o principal propósito da presente dissertação de mestrado, que passa pela resposta à seguinte pergunta de partida: “Qual o papel do Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo na construção da Identidade Cultural Local Vianense?”. De forma a responder à questão e a objetivos dela decorrentes, foram analisadas referências bibliográficas digitais e não digitais sobre a temática da construção da identidade cultural local vianense, recorrendo-se a metodologias de cariz essencialmente qualitativo. Chegou-se à conclusão de que o Museu do Traje de Viana do Castelo possui um papel ativo na construção da identidade cultural local vianense através da conservação e transmissão, às gerações futuras, do conhecimento, memória e tradições vianenses através de um conjunto de símbolos culturais que são difusores da construção da identidade cultural local vianense.     Authors: Carvalho, Caroline Almeida de;

    As relações comerciais entre a América Latina e a União Europeia começaram a desabrochar em 1986, época de admissão de Portugal e Espanha como membros desta. No ano de 2020, México e União Europeia celebram 20 anos desde a assinatura do Tratado de Livre Comércio que promoveu o intercâmbio de bens e serviços. Assim sendo, escolheu-se estrategicamente realizar o evento em tal ano como forma de celebrar este importante acordo entre os países. Intitulado Viva la Vida, Viva la Gastronomia, o projeto idealiza a criação de um evento artísticogastronômico de resgate das tradições mexicanas através da gastronomia e da arte de Frida Kahlo, artista que celebrou, por meio da pintura, a gastronomia tradicional e conventual, a história e a cultura mexicanas. Neste sentido, convém passar em revista episódios que marcaram a história da artista; do México; temas e motivos de sua obra; e os aspectos da preparação do evento (processo de avaliação, análise estratégica, planejamento de marketing e de um plano de comunicação eficaz para sua divulgação). Eventos constituem valiosas estratégias de comunicação, pois envolvem relacionamento, retenção e adaptação de categorias propostas por meio da análise do público e de sua recepção ou não da culinária, produto ou técnicas apresentadas naquela oportunidade. Ademais, configuram um método eficaz de aproximação e manutenção do cliente, propiciando o estabelecimento de uma relação duradoura (Grönroos, 1995; Gummesson, 2005; Lovelock & Mello, 2008). As técnicas de trabalho desenvolvidas demonstram a necessidade de vincular os elementos da arte de Frida Kahlo ao turismo gastronômico. O estabelecimento de uma comunicação criativa, expositiva e de conveniência constroem a base da informação que será apresentada neste evento. The business relations between Latin America and the European Union began to spread in 1986, the period of Portugal and Spain admission as members. By 2020, Mexico and the European Union celebrate 20 years since they sign the Free Trade Agreement, which promoted the exchange of goods and services. Therefore, it was strategically chosen to hold the event that year as a way to celebrate this important agreement between countries. Entitle as Viva la Vida, Viva la Gastronomia, the project idealizes the creation of an event artisticgastronomic to rescue the Mexican traditions through Frida Kahlo's gastronomy, and art, the artist who celebrated, through painting, traditional and conventual gastronomy, the Mexican history and culture. In this sense, it is convenient to review episodes that marked the artist's history; from Mexico; themes and motives of her work; and aspects of event preparation (evaluation process, strategic analysis, marketing planning, and an effective communication plan for its dissemination). Events are valuable communication strategies, as they involve relationship, retention, and adaptation of proposed categories through the analysis of the public and their reception or not of the cuisine, product, or techniques presented at that opportunity. Besides, they are an effective method of approaching and maintaining the client, enabling the establishment of a lasting relationship (Grönroos, 1995; Gummesson, 2005; Lovelock & Mello, 2008). The work techniques developed to demonstrate the need to link the elements of Frida Kahlo's art to gastronomic tourism. The establishment of creative, expository, and convenient communication forms the basis for the information that will be presented at this event.     Authors: Teixeira, Laura Mineiro;

    Reconhecida enquanto uma das maiores manifestações religiosas de Portugal, a Procissão em Honra de Nosso Senhor dos Navegantes, realizada anualmente no maior núcleo piscatório do país – a área que abarca os lugares das Caxinas e de Poça da Barca, em Vila do Conde –, envolve toda a comunidade num processo de rearmação de sua identidade, fortemente marcada pela relação com o mar, as perdas e a memória. Compreende-se a Procissão enquanto um lugar de memória (Nora, 1993) das gentes do mar, por ser um momento em que as lembranças relacionadas ao seu modo de vida são alegoricamente reproduzidas e, consequentemente, transmitidas para as próximas gerações, garantindo assim uma coesão, gerada a partir de uma memória coletiva, entre os indivíduos da comunidade. Este trabalho vislumbra, portanto, compreender a relevância dos espaços de sociabilidade na formação da identidade desta comunidade piscatória, bem como analisar as memórias dos pescadores das Caxinas em relação à Festa, que é um elemento basilar para o reforço de suas identidades. Propõe-se, assim, a inscrição da Procissão no Inventário Nacional do Património Cultural Imaterial, visto que esta é uma forma de salvaguardar uma celebração que, para além de reforçar a alteridade compreendida na sociedade portuguesa moderna, ainda possui aspectos comuns a outras comunidades piscatórias do país, devendo, portanto, ser valorizada e difundida a nível nacional. Recognized as one of the largest religious manifestations in Portugal, the Procession in Honor of Nosso Senhor dos Navegantes, held annually in the largest fishing center in the country – the Caxinas and Poça da Barca area, in Vila do Conde –, involves the whole community in a process of reaffirmation of their identity, strongly marked by the relationship with the sea, losses and their memory. The Procession is understood as a place of memory (Nora, 1993) of the people of the sea, as it is a time when the memories related to their way of life are allegorically reproduced and, consequently, transmitted to the next generations, thus guaranteeing a cohesion, generated from a collective memory, between the people of the community. Therefore, this work aims to comprehend the relevance of spaces of sociability in the construction of the identity of this fishing community, as well as to analyze the memories of Caxinas fishermen related to the Procession, which is a basic element for the reinforcement of their identities. Thus, it is proposed to enroll the Procession in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage, since this is a way of safeguarding a celebration that, in addition to reinforcing the differences in modern Portuguese society, still has aspects in common with other fishing communities over the country and should, therefore, be valued and disseminated at national level.     A salvaguarda do património cultural edificado tem sofrido ao longo dos tempos um certo descaso e abandono por parte das autarquias e de alguns particulares empobrecendo o acervo patrimonial português. Com a modificação ou demolição de alguns edifícios a autoria desse património vê-se prejudicada. O presente estudo pretende expor algumas obras de edifícios bancários executadas em Portugal pelo arquiteto Ernesto Korrodi no período da 1.ª República. Com isto traz ao conhecimento alguns edifícios ainda existentes que conectam ao seu tempo a arquitetura de uma época onde a modernização se alia a tradição e importância das agências bancárias: templo do dinheiro e progresso. The safeguarding of the built cultural heritage has, over time, suffered a certain neglect and abandonment by the municipalities and some individuals, impoverishing the Portuguese heritage collection. With the modification or demolition of some buildings, the authorship of this heritage is impaired. The present study intends to expose some bank building works executed in Portugal by the architect Ernesto Korrodi in the period of the 1st Republic. This brings to light some still existing buildings that connect the architecture of a time when modernization joins the tradition and importance of bank branches: the temple of money and progress.     Authors: Pinto, Thomas Fernandes;

    Combinando o propósito de refletir sobre promoção cultural e de desenvolver um projeto de intervenção, este projeto de Mestrado em Comunicação, Arte e Cultura tem como principal objeto a organização de uma exposição sobre Vila Verde. Esta atividade irá basear-se na cultura e na história da vila e concelho, tentando deste modo mostrar o que o concelho tem para oferecer à população local e aos visitantes. Para realizar esta exposição, este projeto contou com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Vila Verde que, apesar de não contribuir com um valor monetário direto, “patrocinou” a organização com a disponibilização do espaço (a Biblioteca Professor Machado Vilela), assim como com outros tipos de apoios logísticos. Para além dos aspetos práticos inerentes à organização do evento, a Câmara Municipal de Vila Verde também disponibilizou ajuda no levantamento de documentação sobre a história do concelho. A exposição foi feita na Biblioteca Professor Machado Vilela, o Salão Nobre, onde esta se realizou, contem uma caixa com o propósito de fazer projeções. Nessa mesma caixa foi projetado um minidocumentário com testemunhos da história do concelho, a cultura e estórias da sua gente. Na parte de fora da caixa e no resto da sala foram exibidos alguns objetos de elementos culturais e fotografias de pontos de interesse de Vila Verde. A exposição decorreu entre o dia catorze de setembro de 2019, e o dia doze de outubro do mesmo ano. Estes e outros termos foram discutidos com a Dra. Júlia Fernandes, vereadora da educação e da cultura de Vila Verde, e com os orientadores do presente projeto de intervenção, a Prof. Madalena Oliveira e o Prof. Jean Yves Durand. Combining the purpose of reflecting on cultural promotion and developing an intervention project, this master’s project in Communication, Art and Culture has as its main object the organization of an exhibition about Vila Verde. This activity will be based on the culture and history of the village and municipality, thus trying to show what the municipality has to offer to the local population and visitors. To hold this exhibition, this project had the support of the Municipality of Vila Verde which, despite not contributing with a direct monetary value, "sponsored" the organization with the availability of the space (the Library Professor Machado Vilela), as well as other types of logistical support. Besides the practical aspects inherent to the organization of the event, the Municipality of Vila Verde also provided help in gathering documentation about the history of the municipality. The exhibition was held at the Professor Machado Vilela Library, the Noble Hall, where it was held, and contains a box with the purpose of making projections. In this same box was projected a minidocumentary with testimonies of the history of the municipality, the culture and stories of its people. In the outside of the box and in the rest of the room some objects of cultural elements and photographs of points of interest of Vila Verde were shown. The exhibition took place between September 14, 2019 and October 12 of the same year. These and other terms were discussed with Dr. Júlia Fernandes, Councillor for Education and Culture of Vila Verde, and with the orientators of this intervention project, Prof. Madalena Oliveira and Prof. Jean Yves Durand.     Authors: Magalhães, Joana Malta;

    Esta dissertação, inserida no projeto de dissertação de mestrado em Engenharia e Gestão de Sistemas de Informação do departamento de Sistemas de Informação da Universidade do Minho, tem como tema “Comparação de Desempenho de Algoritmos de Machine Learning na Classificação de IT Incident Tickets”, que deriva do estágio profissional que o autor realizou no Grupo Petrotec. Todos os dias, colaboradores dos inúmeros departamentos da instituição reportam incidentes tecnológicos, isto é, problemas relacionados com os mais variados elementos de trabalho do seu quotidiano que, a priori, possam ser resolvidos pelos profissionais de TI. Quando se deparam com algum problema, dirigem-se a uma plataforma onde podem detalhar categórica e textualmente o incidente ocorrido, de forma a que o support agent perceba facilmente o cerne da questão. Contudo, nem todos os colaboradores são rigorosos e precisos a descrever o incidente, onde, por muitas vezes, se verifica uma categoria totalmente desfasada com a descrição textual do ticket, o que torna mais demorada a dedução da solução por parte do profissional. Nesta dissertação, é proposta uma solução que visa atribuir uma categoria ao novo incident ticket através da classificação do mesmo, especificando o técnico informático especializado na solução do incidente em questão, sendo um mecanismo que recorre a técnicas de Text Mining, Processamento de Linguagem Natural (PLN) e Machine Learning que tenta reduzir ao máximo a intervenção humana na classificação dos tickets, diminuindo o tempo gasto na perceção e resolução dos mesmos. Com isso, a classificação do atributo relativo à descrição textual do ticket vai ser fulcral para a dedução do agente informático a resolver o incidente. Os resultados obtidos foram bastante satisfatórios, decifrando qual os melhores procedimentos de processamento textual a serem realizados, obtendo posteriormente, na maior parte dos modelos de classificação utilizados, uma acuidade superior a 90%, o que torna legítima a implementação de todas as metodologias adotadas num cenário real, isto é, no Grupo Petrotec. No que concerne à recolha, processamento e mining dos dados, teve-se em conta a metodologia Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) e como metodologia de investigação utilizou-se a Design Science Research (DSR). This dissertation, included in the master's thesis project in Engineering and Management of Information Systems of the Information Systems department of the University of Minho, has the theme ‘Performance Comparison of Machine Learning Algorithms in Classifying IT Incident Tickets’, which derives from the professional internship that the author performed at Petrotec Group. Every day, employees from the numerous departments of the institution report technological incidents, that is, problems related to the most varied elements of their daily work that can be solved by IT professionals. When faced with a problem, they go to a platform where they can categorically and verbally detail the incident that occurred, so that the 'support agent' easily understands the heart of the matter. However, not all employees are rigorous and accurate in describing the incident, where there is often a category that is totally out of step with the textual description of the ticket, which makes the professional's deduction from the solution more time consuming. In this dissertation, a solution is proposed which aims to assign a category to the new incident ticket through the classification of the same, specifying the specialized support agent in solving the incident in question, being a mechanism, which uses Text Mining, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning techniques and tries to reduce as much as possible the human intervention in the classification of the tickets, decreasing the time spent in their perception and resolution. Therefore, the classification of the attribute related to the ticket's textual description will be central to the assignment of the ‘support agent’ to solve the incident. The results obtained were quite satisfactory, deciphering the best textual processing procedures to be carried out, subsequently obtaining, in most of the classification models used, an accuracy of more than 90%, which makes the implementation of all the methodologies adopted in a real scenario legitimate, that is, in the Petrotec Group. Regarding to data collection, processing and mining, the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology was taken into account and Design Science Research (DSR) was used as the research methodology.     Authors: Silva, Priscila Roberta Soares da;

    Authors: Esteves, Maria Vieira;

    O presente Relatório de Estágio Profissional é o resultado da Intervenção Pedagógica Supervisionada realizada numa turma de 7º ano de escolaridade do Ensino Básico, tendo o propósito de apresentar o trabalho realizado com 25 alunos sobre a produção de narrativas históricas, em aula, como veículo de construção do seu conhecimento histórico e do desenvolvimento da sua compreensão histórica. Todo o trabalho, teórico e prático, foi desenvolvido a partir dos princípios e propósitos da Educação Histórica (Schmidt e Urban, 2018), aplicado através do paradigma educativo designado de aula oficina (Barca, 2004), com tarefas que respondessem ao disposto nas Aprendizagens Essenciais em articulação com o Perfil dos Alunos (2018). Assim, desenvolveu-se o modo como os alunos criam e fazem sentido da narrativa histórica a partir dos conteúdos relativos à Antiguidade Clássica – “O Mundo Helénico” e “Roma e o Império”. A escolha de trabalhar a construção de narrativas históricas com os alunos, do ponto de vista substantivo e meta-histórico, prende-se com a importância da narrativa para a própria História enquanto disciplina/ciência e pelas suas potencialidades ao nível do processo de ensino-aprendizagem, quer na dimensão cognitiva, quer metacognitiva. A narrativa histórica é aqui definida, numa linha narrativista (Gallie e Atkinson, 1964; Barca e Gago, 2004), como sendo a “face material” da História. Assim, entende-se a narrativa histórica como descritiva e explicativa, tecida com base em evidência multiperspetivada, que procura responder a uma questão, ou questões, histórica(s). Ao longo das 25 aulas os alunos produziram várias narrativas, sendo três delas aqui analisadas e categorizadas, de modo a aferir como evoluíram na sua construção, quer ao nível dos conteúdos, quer ao nível da forma. A grande questão desta investigação era perceber se as práticas regulares de sistematização, com a produção de narrativas históricas em aula, contribuíam para o desenvolvimento da construção de conhecimento e pensamento histórico dos alunos e, consequentemente, para melhorar o seu rendimento escolar à disciplina. As narrativas históricas produzidas são os dados que analisamos qualitativa e indutivamente para a construção de um sentido conceptual expresso em categorias que emergiram através de um processo inspirado nas propostas da codificação de dados da Grounded Theory. Os dados analisados parecem demonstrar que houve uma progressão do pensamento e da competência narrativa dos alunos, bem como as classificações finais à disciplina demonstram uma melhoria no rendimento escolar. This Internship Report is the result of a Supervised Pedagogical Intervention, in a 7th grade class, and aims to present the work done with 25 students on the production of historical narratives, as a means for building their historical knowledge and the development of their historical understanding. All theoretical and practical work was developed based on the principles and purposes of Historical Education (Schmidt and Urban, 2018), applied through a workshop-class model (Barca, 2004), with tasks that answered the points of the Learning. Students' Essentials and Profile (2018). With this, there was a development of the way that students create and understand the historical narrative from the syllabus of Classical Antiquity - “Ancient Greece” and “Rome and the Empire”. The choice of working on the construction of historical narratives with students, from the substantial and meta-historical perspective, relates to the importance of the narrative for History itself as a discipline / science and for its potentialities in the teaching process both in the cognitive and metacognitive dimensions. The concept of historical narrative is defined here as being the “material face” of History (Gallie and Atkinson, 1964; Barca and Gago, 2004). As such, historical narrative is understood as being a descriptive and explanatory narrative, based on multiperspective evidence, which seeks to answer one or several historical questions. Throughout the 25 sessions the students produced several narratives, three of which were analyzed and categorized here, in order to gauge their evolution in the narrative production, both in content and in form. The main question of the present investigation was to understand if regular systematization practices, with the production of historical narratives in class, contributed to the development of students' knowledge building and historical thinking and, consequently, to improve their academic performance in the discipline. The produced narratives are the analyzed data for the creation of a conceptual sense expressed in emerging categories through a procedure inspired in the data codification present in Grounded Theory. The results of the narrative analysis seem to indicate that there has been a progression of the understanding and capability of the students, as well as an improvement of academic success represented by the final grade in the discipline.
