The lockdown that was implemented in France in March 2020 to deal with the covid-19 epidemic brutally reinforced the role of housing in the course of daily life. This article analyses the material and spatial conditions under which the lockdown took place and how the assignment to the domestic sphere was reconstituted according to gender, family structure and social class during this period. To do so, the authors use the Coconel-Housing and Living Conditions survey, which is representative of the French adult population, and a series of 21 sociological portraits carried out in different social settings. While living as a couple tends to protect individuals against some negative effects of the crisis, having children systematically increases the risk of experiencing financial and personal difficulties and expands the gender gap, whatever the social class. Mothers appeared to be trapped in the domestic sphere: inside the home, they are less likely than men to benefit from personal space and to have personal time for their leisure, work or activities. They also leave their dwelling less often during the day, regardless of the reason.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about an unprecedented global crisis. To limit the spread of the virus and the associated excess mortality, states and governing bodies have produced a series of regulations and recommendations from a health perspective. The funerary aspects of these directives have reconfigured not only the ways in which the process of dying can be accompanied, but also the management of dead bodies, impacting on the dying, their relatives and professionals in the sector. Since March 2020, the entire process of separation and farewell has been affected, giving rise to public debates about funeral restrictions and the implications for mourning. We carried out a study in France and Switzerland to measure the effects of this crisis, and in particular to explore whether it has involved a shift from a funerary approach to a strictly mortuary one. Have the practices that would normally be observed in non-pandemic times been irrevocably altered? Does this extend to all deaths? Has there been a switch to an exclusively technical handling? Are burial practices still respected? The results of the present study pertain to the ‘first wave’ of spring 2020 and focus on the practices of professionals working in the funeral sector. Policy responses are measured by the Stringency Index and the Economic Support Index from the Blavatnik School of Government. Stringency is systematically associated with lower life satisfaction, controlling for the intensity of the pandemic itself. This stringency effect is larger for women, those with weak ties to the labor market, and in richer households. The effect of the Economic Support is never statistically different from zero.

Here it is proposed a decomposition in components of the waves which appear in the time series of data related to Covid-19 pandemic. The decomposition is based on functions of -statistics; in particular the -Weibull is used. Fitted data are those of the waves ranging from August 2020 to April 2021 in the United Kingdom, from September 2020 to May 2021 in Ireland, and from September 2020 to June 2021 in Italy. For the United Kingdom, the time series of daily infection shows a wave composed by two peaks. Among the many factors involved in the spread of infection, it seems that, in driving the onset of the second peak, the main role was played by the emergence of Alpha variant of Sars-Cov-2. Therefore, the proposed decomposition of waves in the time series is applied to study the role of Alpha variant in the spread of infection. For what concerns data from Ireland, if we decompose the analysed wave in three components, we can observed that for one of them the role of the Alpha variant was relevant for sure. In the case of Italy, the effect is less evident, because it was spread over a larger time interval.

In order to control this pandemic, screening tests such as PCR have become essential. For example, in the case of a trip, the traveler must carry out a PCR test within 72 hours before his departure and if he is not a carrier of the COVID-19, he can therefore travel by presenting, during check-in and boarding, the negative result sheet to the agent. The latter will then verify the presented sheet by trusting: (a) the medical biology laboratory, (b) the credibility of the traveler for not having changed the PCR result from "positive to negative". Therefore, this confidence and this verification are made without being based on any mechanism of security and integrity, despite the great importance of the PCR test results to control the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, we propose in this paper a blockchainbased decentralized trust architecture that aims to guarantee the integrity, immutability and traceability of COVID-19 test results. Our proposal also aims to ensure the interconnection between several organizations (airports, medical laboratories, cinemas, etc.) in order to access COVID-19 test results in a secure and decentralized manner.

Simple Summary COVID-19 is a rapidly spreading and mutating pandemic. In the case of some people the disease can be fatal It has been observed that weight and age are parameters of comorbidity If it is difficult to take into account the uncertainties related to the combination of the two parameters to build up a model of simulation. Therefore, we propose in this article a SIR/SIH model with fuzzy parameters which allows us to simulate the pandemic in the absence of barrier actions and vaccines. Abstract In this paper, we propose a multi-group SIR to simulate the spread of COVID-19 in an island context. The multi-group aspect enables us to modelize transmissions of the virus between non-vaccinated individuals within an age group as well as between different age groups. In addition, fuzzy subsets and aggregation operators are used to account for the increased risks associated with age and obesity within these different groups. From a conceptual point of view, the model emphasizes the notion of Hospitalization which is the major stake of this pandemic by replacing the compartment R (Removed) by compartment H (Hospitalization). The experimental results were carried out using medical and demographic data from the archipelago, Guadeloupe (French West Indies) in the Caribbean. These results show that without the respect of barrier gestures, a first wave would concern the elderly then a second the adults and the young people, which conforms to the real data.

The objective of this article is to analyze and determine the consequences of the health pandemic in the context of worsening inequalities. For this research, we follow the literature on inequalities, mobility, elites and democracy that has identified the consequences of COVID-19 in political, economic and social life in Mexico. By intertwining these three variables, we show how a sanitary crisis is revealing, amplifying, making visible and creating new inequalities. We also show that the burdens with which Mexico arrives will be aggravated by the pandemic. We note that the elites should play a more central role in contributing to the reduction of socio-economic gaps and, above all, understand that perception is not always reality. Then, we note that pandemic working conditions have already revealed new inequalities by exemplifying it with data showing that remote work is a privilege of minorities. This paper contributes to the state of the literature on COVID-19, Mexico and inequalities by seeking to understand how a pandemic heterogeneously affects the world, its societies and especially the different socio-economic strata.
