    Les exploitations qui vendent leurs produits en circuits courts sont confrontées à la nécessité de réaliser, gérer et planifier un nombre plus ou moins grand de tâches logistiques et de transport et cela, en plus des activités de production qui sont le coeur de leur métier. Cela concerne, par exemple, les activités de conditionnement des produits, de préparation de commande, de chargement ou encore de livraison. L'ensemble des opérations réalisées, et la façon dont elles sont coordonnées et planifiées sur la ferme forment l'organisation logistique. Chaque exploitation a sa propre organisation logistique et c'est elle qui garantit la bonne circulation des marchandises, mais aussi des flux d'informations et des flux financiers de la ferme jusqu'à l'assiette. L'organisation logistique est dépendante des stratégies propres de l'exploitant mais impacte directement la quantité de travail à mener, le temps à consacrer, les moyens nécessaires à la commercialisation et donc la rentabilité de l'exploitation. Le précédent projet de recherche ALLOCIRCO mené dans le Nord et le Pas-de-Calais entre 2012 et 2015 a révélé un besoin d'optimisation de ces tâches à l'échelle de l'exploitation : les tâche logistiques et de transport sont chronophages, peuvent être coûteuses et ce coût n'est pas toujours calculé et/ou intégré au prix de vente. Les chaînes courtes d'approvisionnement sont ainsi confrontées à une situation inédite : les producteurs portent à la fois les tâches logistiques et leurs coûts sans redistribution tout au long de la chaîne d'approvisionnement. Outre la part des coûts de transport pouvant être importante, c'est la rentabilité même de certaines livraisons qui se pose. Le bilan environnemental est aussi parfois critiquable au regard de leurs émissions de GES et de polluants atmosphériques.

    Background Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among Moroccan women. Environmental and occupational factors may play a role in breast cancer etiology. This study aimed to investigate the association between occupation, industry, and breast cancer risk among Moroccan women. Methods A total of 300 breast cancer cases and 300 controls (matched by age and area of residence) were included in this study. Full occupational history was collected, with a detailed description of each job held for at least 6 months. Occupations were coded according to the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO 08) and the Moroccan Analytical Classification of Professions (2001). Industries were coded according to the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (2008). Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs), adjusted for potential confounders were estimated by using conditional logistic regression. Results An overall decreased risk of breast cancer was observed among women doing only household work (OR = 0.32; 95% CI = 0.18-0.55). An increased risk of breast cancer was observed among women in agricultural occupations, particularly those employed as agricultural laborers (ISCO 08 code: 921; OR = 2.91; 95% CI = 1.51-5.60) and the risk increased with duration of employment (P trend = .01). Analyses by industry corroborated these findings. Conclusions Our findings suggest that occupational exposures may be associated with increased risk of breast cancer among female agricultural workers in this population. Further investigations, with advanced methods of occupational exposure assessment, are warranted to clarify the role of chemicals involved in this high-risk occupation and to suggest preventive actions and screening.

    Urban soil differs from the agricultural one by the fact that the former is more strongly influenced by continuous and intense anthropogenic contaminating activities. Metals such as Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn are commonly found at high concentrations in urban soils, thus jeopardizing the safety production of crops. An alternative to reduce metal bioavailability and toxicity in urban soils is phytoremediation, a gentle strategy that maintains the agronomical properties of soils and preserves its function. Phytoremediation can be suggested, therefore, as a low-cost and environmentally friendly strategy to remediate urban soils contaminated with trace metals with two major aims: (i) to maintain the crop potential of soils, and (ii) to reduce the huge amounts of slightly contaminated soils that are commonly excavated and evacuated from the cities where they become wastes. In this chapter, the authors provide an overview on the health risks derived from cropping in urban soils and how these risks may be reduced by biological approaches. Among them, the advantages and limitations of using phytoremediation in metal-polluted urban soils are discussed. The potential application of this bioremediation approach in the urban ecosystem is described through selected case studies.

    Parmi les nombreux objectifs du projet PIREN-Seine, il est prévu d'étudier les flux hydriques urbains auxquels la Seine peut être sensible. Pour cela un modèle hydrologique urbain (TEB-Hydro) doit être appliqué à l'échelle de Paris et sa petite couronne. Le territoire visé implique une simplification des processus représentés et des objets, en lien avec la résolution spatiale choisie. La reconstruction simplifiée du réseau d'assainissement est nécessaire, pour alimenter le modèle hydrologique. Le travail présenté ici vient compléter les travaux précédemment développés. Il s'est concentré sur le département des Hauts de Seine où le réseau départemental a été simplifié et connecté au réseau interdépartemental ainsi qu'à la Seine. L'évaluation de cette reconstruction a été encourageante et a permis de produire un premier jeu de simulations hydrologiques à l'échelle du département. Même si le manque de données observées n'a pas permis de valider ces premières simulations, une étude de sensibilité à mis en évidence les paramètres auxquels le modèle est le plus sensible et qui doivent donc être calés. Ce travail a aussi montré les données observées nécessaires pour poursuivre ce travail.

    Phytoextraction has been studied for decades, and up to now has not been applied widely because of the extended period of time required for soil cleaning-up. To improve its efficiency, phytoextraction could be associated with soil bioaugmentation, in particular with siderophores producing bacteria (SPB). Siderophores are iron complexing agents able to complex others metals including lead (Pb). This study aims at evaluating the potential effect of pyoverdine (Pvd), a siderophore produced by Pseudomonas fluorescens, on Pb mobility and on phytoextraction efficiency in the example of a non-point source contaminated soils (geogenic vs. anthropic Pb).Brassica juncea is cultivated on three different soils: the first one contains geogenic Pb (soil E) and the two other soils were contaminated by anthropic activities (soils O and M). Soils E and O ? same loamy-sandy texture and same total Pb concentration ? were sampled from urban allotment gardens in Nantes (France). The soil M is a sandy-clay agricultural soil closed to Metaleurop, a former smelter located near Lille (France).Purified Pvd or bioaugmentation-assisted B. juncea were tested. Pvd-producing bacteria were previously selected based on biochemical tests. The content of Pb in shoots and roots of B. juncea is measured as well as the Pb speciation in soil by using chemical and physical methods: selective extractions with CaCl2 and DTPA, sequential extractions, XRD analysis on the most concentrated fractions, Raman analysis, etc.Work is in progress. Expected results are clay weathering and an impact of Pvd on others Pb bearing phases, as already shown by Hazotte et al. (2016) and the increase of phytoavailable Pb and eventually higher phytoextraction rate.

    Les circuits courts sont largement plébiscités et bénéficient d'à priori favorables sur les plans économique, social et environnemental. L'Ifsttar et l'IAU proposent de réinterroger ce discours angélique, nourrit de leurs travaux et des recherches actuelles. Ces circuits sont-ils réellement plus durables et à quelles conditions ?

    Au sein des chaines alimentaires courtes de proximité, les pratiques collectives visant à optimiser la distribution des produits de la ferme aux consommateurs se développent (co-voiturage de produits, mutualisation des véhicules etc.). Elles présentent un fort potentiel innovant en favorisant la coordination entre acteurs sur un territoire, en réduisant l'impact environnemental ainsi que les coûts économiques de ces circuits. Pourtant, aujourd'hui des questions réglementaires limitent le développement de ces pratiques. L'essor des circuits courts fait en effet émerger des questions qui se posaient peu jusqu'alors : aujourd'hui, les agriculteurs ont-ils le droit de mutualiser le transport ? A quelles conditions ? Dans quelle mesure ces pratiques sont-elles du transport pour compte d'autrui et concurrencent-elles les activités des transporteurs ? Le code rural et le code du transport régissant les activités agricoles et de transport sont-ils antagonistes ? Répondre à ces questions simples au premier abord, conditionne pour partie l'essor et la durabilité des circuits courts de proximité. Différents niveaux de coopération sur le transport sont actuellement observés au sein des circuits courts, allant du co-voiturage de produits au partage de véhicule (au sein d'une CUMA par exemple), de la mutualisation des moyens de transport jusqu'au partage de main-d'oeuvre. Le développement de ces pratiques répond à des enjeux économiques, sociaux et environnementaux. Pour les agriculteurs, elles permettent de réduire les coûts des livraisons qui sont chronophages et couteuses (Blanquart et al 2015 ; Raton et al, 2016). Pour la collectivité, l'enjeu est la réduction des émissions de ces circuits qui se caractérisent par des trajets répétés en petits véhicules, avec de faibles taux de chargement et des retours à vide (Ademe, 2012). Enfin, elles répondent aux enjeux d'accessibilité de ces circuits à des populations en difficulté, agriculteurs comme consommateurs et peuvent favoriser la cohérence des politiques alimentaires territoriales (Chiffoleau, Prevost, 2012). La littérature scientifique montre, qu'au-delà de la solution de bon sens, les pratiques collectives de transport contribuent à la durabilité des circuits courts (Lacombe, 2013 ; Messmer, 2013 ; Nordmark et al. 2012 ; Bosona et al. 2011). Mais, les dispositifs réglementaires permettent-ils leur développement ? Les producteurs et leurs structures représentantes doutent parfois de la conformité de leurs pratiques de mutualisation avec les dérogations existantes. Ce rapport est un document de travail. Il vise à mettre en évidence les questionnements réglementaires limitant aujourd'hui les pratiques de mutualisation du transport notamment par rapport : à l'interprétation des textes existants, à la capacité des textes à régir toutes les pratiques de mutualisation. Il est le fruit d'entretiens menés auprès de juristes et d'un atelier mettant en discussion l'ensemble des problèmes posés. Il s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un projet mené par le laboratoire SPLOTT de l'IFSTTAR et subventionné par la Direction générale des infrastructures de transport et de la mer (DGITM).

    The maintenance of the agronomic quality of soils in case of allotment garden rehabilitation is of great concern. Considered as a ?gentle? solution, phytoextraction may be adapted to this issue. Nonetheless this method requires sometimes many years to achieve the cleaning-up of soils. For this reason phytoremediation hardly develops. To circumvent this problem, this study aimed at developing a secured cropping system in allotment gardens including the authorization to cultivate vegetables unable to accumulate lead (Pb) and phytoextracting crops simultaneously. To achieve this goal , an in situ and participative 3-year experiment has been launched since July 2015 on an allotment garden soil (Nantes, France) naturally contaminated by Pb . Pb in topsoil is 170 mg/kg on average. Vegetables (tomato, winter cabbage or potatoes) and Indian mustard (Brassica juncea), used for phtoextraction, were cultivated in rotation or as crop co-cultures and were compared to a control (without phytoextraction process) The two first seasons of culture showed that Pb concentrations in edible parts of tomatoes and winter cabbages were under the EEC regulatory threshold set at 0.1 and 0.3 mg/kg Fresh Matter. For the ?Co-culture?, Pb in Indian mustard shoots was around 0.9 mg/kg dry matter (DM) with a translocation factor (TF) of 1.5 in average and 0.2 mg/kg DM with a mean TF of 0.03, respectively for the season 1 (Tomato) and the season 2 (Cabbage). Then, phytoextraction efficiency was very low. But, compared to previous experiment realized in laboratory, in situ phytoextraction associated with tomato and cabbage is respectively 83 and 18 times more efficient than phytoextraction by itself. For the ?Rotation? growing method, lead concentration in Brassica juncea shoots, ca. 0.5 mg/kg DM with a mean TF of 0.2, was significantly lower than what was recorded with co-culture. Analysis of Pb in potatoes are in progress. After three growing crops, the culture of tomatoes and cabbages could be maintained on this site in association with phytoextraction, expecting nevertheless higher performances for this latter. In such a prospect, the regulation could pay attention to this secure cropping system

    Les exploitations qui vendent leurs produits en circuits courts sont confrontées à la nécessité de réaliser, gérer et planifier un nombre plus ou moins grand de tâches logistiques et de transport et cela, en plus des activités de production qui sont le coeur de leur métier. Cela concerne, par exemple, les activités de conditionnement des produits, de préparation de commande, de chargement ou encore de livraison. L'ensemble des opérations réalisées, et la façon dont elles sont coordonnées et planifiées sur la ferme forment l'organisation logistique. Chaque exploitation a sa propre organisation logistique et c'est elle qui garantit la bonne circulation des marchandises, mais aussi des flux d'informations et des flux financiers de la ferme jusqu'à l'assiette. L'organisation logistique est dépendante des stratégies propres de l'exploitant mais impacte directement la quantité de travail à mener, le temps à consacrer, les moyens nécessaires à la commercialisation et donc la rentabilité de l'exploitation. Le précédent projet de recherche ALLOCIRCO mené dans le Nord et le Pas-de-Calais entre 2012 et 2015 a révélé un besoin d'optimisation de ces tâches à l'échelle de l'exploitation : les tâche logistiques et de transport sont chronophages, peuvent être coûteuses et ce coût n'est pas toujours calculé et/ou intégré au prix de vente. Les chaînes courtes d'approvisionnement sont ainsi confrontées à une situation inédite : les producteurs portent à la fois les tâches logistiques et leurs coûts sans redistribution tout au long de la chaîne d'approvisionnement. Outre la part des coûts de transport pouvant être importante, c'est la rentabilité même de certaines livraisons qui se pose. Le bilan environnemental est aussi parfois critiquable au regard de leurs émissions de GES et de polluants atmosphériques.

    Background Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among Moroccan women. Environmental and occupational factors may play a role in breast cancer etiology. This study aimed to investigate the association between occupation, industry, and breast cancer risk among Moroccan women. Methods A total of 300 breast cancer cases and 300 controls (matched by age and area of residence) were included in this study. Full occupational history was collected, with a detailed description of each job held for at least 6 months. Occupations were coded according to the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO 08) and the Moroccan Analytical Classification of Professions (2001). Industries were coded according to the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (2008). Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs), adjusted for potential confounders were estimated by using conditional logistic regression. Results An overall decreased risk of breast cancer was observed among women doing only household work (OR = 0.32; 95% CI = 0.18-0.55). An increased risk of breast cancer was observed among women in agricultural occupations, particularly those employed as agricultural laborers (ISCO 08 code: 921; OR = 2.91; 95% CI = 1.51-5.60) and the risk increased with duration of employment (P trend = .01). Analyses by industry corroborated these findings. Conclusions Our findings suggest that occupational exposures may be associated with increased risk of breast cancer among female agricultural workers in this population. Further investigations, with advanced methods of occupational exposure assessment, are warranted to clarify the role of chemicals involved in this high-risk occupation and to suggest preventive actions and screening.

    Urban soil differs from the agricultural one by the fact that the former is more strongly influenced by continuous and intense anthropogenic contaminating activities. Metals such as Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn are commonly found at high concentrations in urban soils, thus jeopardizing the safety production of crops. An alternative to reduce metal bioavailability and toxicity in urban soils is phytoremediation, a gentle strategy that maintains the agronomical properties of soils and preserves its function. Phytoremediation can be suggested, therefore, as a low-cost and environmentally friendly strategy to remediate urban soils contaminated with trace metals with two major aims: (i) to maintain the crop potential of soils, and (ii) to reduce the huge amounts of slightly contaminated soils that are commonly excavated and evacuated from the cities where they become wastes. In this chapter, the authors provide an overview on the health risks derived from cropping in urban soils and how these risks may be reduced by biological approaches. Among them, the advantages and limitations of using phytoremediation in metal-polluted urban soils are discussed. The potential application of this bioremediation approach in the urban ecosystem is described through selected case studies.

    Parmi les nombreux objectifs du projet PIREN-Seine, il est prévu d'étudier les flux hydriques urbains auxquels la Seine peut être sensible. Pour cela un modèle hydrologique urbain (TEB-Hydro) doit être appliqué à l'échelle de Paris et sa petite couronne. Le territoire visé implique une simplification des processus représentés et des objets, en lien avec la résolution spatiale choisie. La reconstruction simplifiée du réseau d'assainissement est nécessaire, pour alimenter le modèle hydrologique. Le travail présenté ici vient compléter les travaux précédemment développés. Il s'est concentré sur le département des Hauts de Seine où le réseau départemental a été simplifié et connecté au réseau interdépartemental ainsi qu'à la Seine. L'évaluation de cette reconstruction a été encourageante et a permis de produire un premier jeu de simulations hydrologiques à l'échelle du département. Même si le manque de données observées n'a pas permis de valider ces premières simulations, une étude de sensibilité à mis en évidence les paramètres auxquels le modèle est le plus sensible et qui doivent donc être calés. Ce travail a aussi montré les données observées nécessaires pour poursuivre ce travail.

    Phytoextraction has been studied for decades, and up to now has not been applied widely because of the extended period of time required for soil cleaning-up. To improve its efficiency, phytoextraction could be associated with soil bioaugmentation, in particular with siderophores producing bacteria (SPB). Siderophores are iron complexing agents able to complex others metals including lead (Pb). This study aims at evaluating the potential effect of pyoverdine (Pvd), a siderophore produced by Pseudomonas fluorescens, on Pb mobility and on phytoextraction efficiency in the example of a non-point source contaminated soils (geogenic vs. anthropic Pb).Brassica juncea is cultivated on three different soils: the first one contains geogenic Pb (soil E) and the two other soils were contaminated by anthropic activities (soils O and M). Soils E and O ? same loamy-sandy texture and same total Pb concentration ? were sampled from urban allotment gardens in Nantes (France). The soil M is a sandy-clay agricultural soil closed to Metaleurop, a former smelter located near Lille (France).Purified Pvd or bioaugmentation-assisted B. juncea were tested. Pvd-producing bacteria were previously selected based on biochemical tests. The content of Pb in shoots and roots of B. juncea is measured as well as the Pb speciation in soil by using chemical and physical methods: selective extractions with CaCl2 and DTPA, sequential extractions, XRD analysis on the most concentrated fractions, Raman analysis, etc.Work is in progress. Expected results are clay weathering and an impact of Pvd on others Pb bearing phases, as already shown by Hazotte et al. (2016) and the increase of phytoavailable Pb and eventually higher phytoextraction rate.

    Au sein des chaines alimentaires courtes de proximité, les pratiques collectives visant à optimiser la distribution des produits de la ferme aux consommateurs se développent (co-voiturage de produits, mutualisation des véhicules etc.). Elles présentent un fort potentiel innovant en favorisant la coordination entre acteurs sur un territoire, en réduisant l'impact environnemental ainsi que les coûts économiques de ces circuits. Pourtant, aujourd'hui des questions réglementaires limitent le développement de ces pratiques. L'essor des circuits courts fait en effet émerger des questions qui se posaient peu jusqu'alors : aujourd'hui, les agriculteurs ont-ils le droit de mutualiser le transport ? A quelles conditions ? Dans quelle mesure ces pratiques sont-elles du transport pour compte d'autrui et concurrencent-elles les activités des transporteurs ? Le code rural et le code du transport régissant les activités agricoles et de transport sont-ils antagonistes ? Répondre à ces questions simples au premier abord, conditionne pour partie l'essor et la durabilité des circuits courts de proximité. Différents niveaux de coopération sur le transport sont actuellement observés au sein des circuits courts, allant du co-voiturage de produits au partage de véhicule (au sein d'une CUMA par exemple), de la mutualisation des moyens de transport jusqu'au partage de main-d'oeuvre. Le développement de ces pratiques répond à des enjeux économiques, sociaux et environnementaux. Pour les agriculteurs, elles permettent de réduire les coûts des livraisons qui sont chronophages et couteuses (Blanquart et al 2015 ; Raton et al, 2016). Pour la collectivité, l'enjeu est la réduction des émissions de ces circuits qui se caractérisent par des trajets répétés en petits véhicules, avec de faibles taux de chargement et des retours à vide (Ademe, 2012). Enfin, elles répondent aux enjeux d'accessibilité de ces circuits à des populations en difficulté, agriculteurs comme consommateurs et peuvent favoriser la cohérence des politiques alimentaires territoriales (Chiffoleau, Prevost, 2012). La littérature scientifique montre, qu'au-delà de la solution de bon sens, les pratiques collectives de transport contribuent à la durabilité des circuits courts (Lacombe, 2013 ; Messmer, 2013 ; Nordmark et al. 2012 ; Bosona et al. 2011). Mais, les dispositifs réglementaires permettent-ils leur développement ? Les producteurs et leurs structures représentantes doutent parfois de la conformité de leurs pratiques de mutualisation avec les dérogations existantes. Ce rapport est un document de travail. Il vise à mettre en évidence les questionnements réglementaires limitant aujourd'hui les pratiques de mutualisation du transport notamment par rapport : à l'interprétation des textes existants, à la capacité des textes à régir toutes les pratiques de mutualisation. Il est le fruit d'entretiens menés auprès de juristes et d'un atelier mettant en discussion l'ensemble des problèmes posés. Il s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un projet mené par le laboratoire SPLOTT de l'IFSTTAR et subventionné par la Direction générale des infrastructures de transport et de la mer (DGITM).

    The maintenance of the agronomic quality of soils in case of allotment garden rehabilitation is of great concern. Considered as a ?gentle? solution, phytoextraction may be adapted to this issue. Nonetheless this method requires sometimes many years to achieve the cleaning-up of soils. For this reason phytoremediation hardly develops. To circumvent this problem, this study aimed at developing a secured cropping system in allotment gardens including the authorization to cultivate vegetables unable to accumulate lead (Pb) and phytoextracting crops simultaneously. To achieve this goal , an in situ and participative 3-year experiment has been launched since July 2015 on an allotment garden soil (Nantes, France) naturally contaminated by Pb . Pb in topsoil is 170 mg/kg on average. Vegetables (tomato, winter cabbage or potatoes) and Indian mustard (Brassica juncea), used for phtoextraction, were cultivated in rotation or as crop co-cultures and were compared to a control (without phytoextraction process) The two first seasons of culture showed that Pb concentrations in edible parts of tomatoes and winter cabbages were under the EEC regulatory threshold set at 0.1 and 0.3 mg/kg Fresh Matter. For the ?Co-culture?, Pb in Indian mustard shoots was around 0.9 mg/kg dry matter (DM) with a translocation factor (TF) of 1.5 in average and 0.2 mg/kg DM with a mean TF of 0.03, respectively for the season 1 (Tomato) and the season 2 (Cabbage). Then, phytoextraction efficiency was very low. But, compared to previous experiment realized in laboratory, in situ phytoextraction associated with tomato and cabbage is respectively 83 and 18 times more efficient than phytoextraction by itself. For the ?Rotation? growing method, lead concentration in Brassica juncea shoots, ca. 0.5 mg/kg DM with a mean TF of 0.2, was significantly lower than what was recorded with co-culture. Analysis of Pb in potatoes are in progress. After three growing crops, the culture of tomatoes and cabbages could be maintained on this site in association with phytoextraction, expecting nevertheless higher performances for this latter. In such a prospect, the regulation could pay attention to this secure cropping system
