Hvad tager turismeerhvervet med sig efter halvandet år med nedlukning? Hvad er lært og udviklet? Vi stiller skarpt på tre helt store tendenser: bæredygtig, digital og lokal turisme.

Hvad skal guide os videre i turismeudviklingen efter corona? Denne blog gør status og sammen med to fremtrædende turismeeksperter - Signe Jungersted fra Group NAO og Anna Porse fra Seismonaut - kaster vi et skarpt lys på de sidste to års erfaringer.

A mysterious virus, classified by WHO (World Health Organization) as COVID-19, wrecks global health and potentially endangers the global social, political and economic order[i]. In countering the risks and protecting their populations, nations across the world adopt drastic national restrictions. Authorities temporarily suspend national as well as transnational encounters and connections. The virus, as well as how authorities and societies respond to, might have greater long-term impact. However, If the virus spreads transnationally, why then nation-states favour national protectionism instead of exploring common multilateral solutions? Could the application of national tools solve a seemingly transnational pandemic?Almost worldwide reverberations of state-decrees take effect- unleashing cancellations of public and private gatherings and events. So far, most of the alert and ensuing explanations and justifications mainly concentrate on the affluent world. In parts of the developing world, the ruling elites often ignore pre-consultations. Millions (already suffering from traditional curable malaises and inequalities) confront additional virus-related existential threats. Among the most disadvantaged include the internally and externally displaced refugees in the world. Many of them live in derelict encampments scattered across the Middle East and Africa.

En række danske organisationer har den seneste måneds tid offentliggjort planer for grøn genstart efter Covid19-krisen. De fleste planer har først og fremmest fokus på investeringer i vedvarende energi og energibesparelser, men der er forslag til cirkulær økonomi i enkelte planer. Artiklen analyserer planernes forslag til øget plantebaseret kost, billigere reparationer samt øget genbrug og genanvendelse som del af grøn genstart

Konferenceturismen har lige som mange andre omfavnet de digitale formater under pandemien. I dette vidensindspark zoomer vi ind på de udfordringer og muligheder virtuelle konferencer, særligt hybride formater, indeholder – og ikke mindst deres levedygtighed fremadrettet.

Pandemiens lock-down har åbnet øjnene for turismens miljømæssige aftryk, ironisk nok pga. en voldsomt neddroslet rejseaktivitet. Spørgsmålet er nu, om vi i tiden efter covid-19 vil se en større efterspørgsel på bæredygtige ferier og dermed en grønnere udvikling i dansk turisme?
