Due to the current events related to Covid-19, the conference originally planned for July 2020 has been postponed to April 7-9, 2021.The conference will be organized virtually by videoconference. ORAL; International audience; In this paper, a study of UWB receivers in terms of detection theory is presented. The UWB radar which is presented in many works previously [1]-[3] has many applications. For road UWB radar application, the receiver based on correlation is the optimum receiver [4]. In fact, it maximizes the probability of detection. We will consider, in this study, a correlator receiver based on a threshold detection method. As in narrowband [5] [6], we will describe the theoretical study that evaluates the performance of the UWB receiver based on correlation in terms of detection and false alarm probabilities. Then a study of curves showing threshold receiver operating characteristics (ROC system), based on correlation and destined to be used for a UWB radar is presented. The study is original because it is presented for the first time in a UWB radar system.

Cette carte utilise le capteur pour s’adapter à ses interlocuteur, ici les traits de leur visage, et ainsi ajuster ses mouvements au comportement des humains, sans toutefois les interpréter

International audience; Cette contribution a pour objet de rendre compte du témoignage d’étudiantes de l’Université Clermont-Auvergne interrogées fin juin 2020 sur leur vécu du premier confinement mis en place pour lutter contre la pandémie de COVID et plus particulièrement sur leur ressenti par rapport aux aménagement mis en place par l’établissement pour assurer la continuité pédagogique. Avant de présenter ces témoignages nous apporterons des éléments de contextualisation, d’une part sur la progressive prise en compte des situations de handicap dans l’enseignement supérieur; d’autre part sur les effets du confinement observés chez les jeunes.

International audience; Corona-Virus Disease (COVID-19), caused by the novel Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been spreading rapidly worldwide causing the world to face a global health crisis. Countries are experiencing a new wave of contamination and are witnessing spikes in the disease without being able to control its spread again. This paper aims to analyze the mortality rate related to the COVID-19 pandemic infection in Tunisia and to assess the effectiveness of health control policies. Data collection for this document was stopped on October, 31 st , 2020.

International audience; La halle SayFood (AgroParisTech-INRAE) rassemble 50 pilotes, représentant les appareils utilisés dans l'industrie agroalimentaire. Ces pilotes sont utilisés par des chercheurs, enseignants, personnels techniques, étudiants, doctorants et stagiaires. Chaque pilote peut regrouper plusieurs équipements ; avec les équipements périphériques, ce sont donc 200 appareils, pour lesquels il devenait impératif de réaliser une documentation technique centralisée. Dokiel s'est imposé comme le choix idéal pour cette création collaborative. La crise sanitaire a été le catalyseur de cette démarche, permettant d'accélérer l'adhésion des enseignants-chercheurs à l'usage d'une chaîne éditoriale, ponctuellement détournée pour contribuer à la mise en place de TP à distance.

International audience; In developing countries, metropolitan cities, due to their economic activities, attract an increasing amount of commuters on a daily basis. This has led to major freeways and roads experiencing high levels of congestion and consequently high pollution levels. In 2020, due to a global pandemic of an outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19), the national government declared a national shutdown with only essential traffic being allowed to operate. Given the scenario of the national lock-down this allows for the statistical analysis of the impact of essential traffic on the overall transportation system. Consequently the aim of the paper was to assess the congestion and C02 emission impact of essential traffic for the City of Johannesburg. Using an exploratory approach, we monitored and collected traffic congestion data from the Tomtom traffic index for the metropolitan city of Johannesburg, South Africa. We develop a relationship between congestion and pollution to visualise the daily variations in pollution and congestion levels. We demonstrate this by comparing variations in congestion levels in two epochs, viz the period without movement restrictions and the period whereby movement is restricted. The results reveal essential traffic on the congestion index to be below 22 percent for both weekends and weekdays. A scenario common only during weekends in 2019. Whilst for the emission index, CO2 levels are approximately less than 45 percent throughout the week. The paper concludes the investment into mining and analysing traffic data has a significantly role for future mobility planning in both the developed and developing world and, more generally, improving the quality of commuting trips in the city.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, instructors and students worldwide have been faced with the challenges of shifting from face-to-face to remote education. Due to universities short notice closure, synchronous online instruction through videoconferencing platforms has been the favoured choice for most instructors. In this paper, we report on our experience teaching an online course using Zoom videoconferencing platform. We conduct a two-fold analysis of online synchronous teaching: 1) We first compare the engagement and feedback features offered by Zoom with traditional classroom interactions. We show that some features are challenging to transpose to traditional face-to-face classroom setting while others may require additional hardware and software. 2) We analyze Zoom’s attention tracker tool and evaluate the effectiveness of the attentiveness score as an effective grading metric. Our results show no apparent relationship between the students’ attention as measured by Zoom and their performance. We also show that the use of recordings increases while attention decline during live classes.

En raison de la situation sanitaire actuelle (Covid-19), WACAI est reporté du 02 au 04/06/2021; International audience; L’objectif de cet article est de passer en revue la littérature ayant pour sujet l’incarnation en réalité augmentée et les systèmes permettant de l’expérimenter. Il commence par préciser ce qu’est un “avatar” dans ce contexte et introduit les principaux concepts de la notion d’incarnation. Il décrit ensuite les travaux de recherche qui ont contribué à mieux la comprendre et à la mettre en place au sein d’un environnement réel. Dans cette partie, les connaissances sur les composantes du sentiment d’incarnation et sur les facteurs techniques qui l’affectent sont exposées ainsi que les technologies et modes de visualisation utilisés pour l’étudier. Pour terminer, cet article résume et discute de ces résultats afin d’offrir des perspectives de recherches.

International audience; La complexité de la pandémie de COVID-19 révèle d’importants débats méthodologiques quant à l’articulation de différentes approches de recherche. L’objectif de cette communication est de présenter le projet CoviZion, porté par les laboratoires CeReS et Xlim de l’Université de Limoges, pour mettre en évidence la nécessité d’une approche pluridisciplinaire dans l’étude holistique de la crise sanitaire actuelle. Cette démarche apparait comme indispensable pour faire face à l’ennemi invisible de SARS-CoV-2 et de ses conséquences à l’effet domino. En se basant sur la démarche innovante de co-design et de l’intelligence collective, nous proposons des pistes de réflexion concrets pour une meilleure intégration de l’interdisciplinarité qui permet de tendre vers une approche transdisciplinaire dans l’étude des phénomènes sociétaux actuels. Les implications pour une meilleure gestion des crises sanitaires, actuelles et futures, seront discutées.
