    Authors: Pedersen, Louise Møller;

    Sygeplejerskerne er en central brik i opretholdelsen af de danske hospitaler og velfærdssamfundet generelt. Professionen har dog længe været udfordret af et højt effektivitets- og produktivitetspres, omorganiseringer af sundhedsområdet, stram økonomi, politiske krav, COVID-19 og høj personaleomsætning. I 2030 forventes der at mangle mindst 8.200 sygeplejersker. Viden om samspillet mellem sygeplejerskernes arbejdsvilkår og -motivation er en forudsætning for at vende udviklingen. Denne artikel er baseret på seks fokusgruppeinterviews med i alt 18 sygeplejersker på et stort hospital og analyserer forskningsspørgsmålet: ”Hvad er samspillet mellem erfarne sygeplejerskers arbejdsvilkår og motivation efter COVID-19? Artiklen udleder, at erfarne hospitalssygeplejerskers motivation er langt mere nuanceret end den traditionelle kaldstanke foreskriver og i høj grad indgår i samspil med deres arbejdsvilkår. Mange sygeplejersker er fortsat intrinsisk motiverede af især patientplejen og samarbejdet med kollegerne, og er villige til at nedprioritere både familieliv og fritidsinteresser for deres arbejde. Effektivitetskrav, stram økonomisk styring, tidspres, omorganiseringer og manglende ledelse tilskynder dog til forskellige former for ekstrinsisk motivation. Desuden skaber arbejdsvilkårene dilemmaer mellem sygeplejerskernes moral og handlemuligheder, familie- og arbejdsliv samt deres fysiske og mentale helbred. Artiklen identificerer autonomi, fællesskab, lavere arbejdspres samt tydeligere ledelse som centrale for sygeplejerskernes intrinsiske motivation og fastholdelse.

    Authors: Qvortrup, Lars; Wistoft, Karen;

    In spring 2020, schools across the world closed down for students and teachers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, there have been numerous inquiries into how the school closures affected students. However, most of these inquiries apply a simple causal perspective according to which school closures are described as cause, and poor wellbeing, learning loss, etc. as effects. The aim of this article is to identify the complex social mechanisms that were triggered in the schoolchildren’s everyday lives in relation to school and home. The method employed is to analyze quantitative and qualitative data concerning students’ (n = 5,953) and parents’ (n = 5,054) reactions to the school closures in Denmark in spring 2020 through the lens of a system theoretical understanding of inclusion and exclusion mechanisms. The analysis demonstrates that one important reason for the consequences of school closures was that fundamental school-based inclusion and exclusion processes were interrupted, and that these processes could not be fully compensated by parents and siblings or by the use of digital media. Finally, the analysis argues that the closures not only affected the students’ learning and wellbeing but also presented a threat to their acquisition of fundamental inclusion and exclusion competencies.

    The lockdowns of covid-19 contributed to accelerating the developments within distance work and collaboration. This development is impressive in terms of organizations’ and employees’ rapid adoption of digital tools, as well as to the extensive shift of attitude towards working from home. In this paper, we ask how we might exploit covid-findings on digitalisation to prepare innovation management for the impeding developments within AI-based technologies to facilitate their exploration and the exploitation of its potential productivity contribution.

    Nærværende undersøgelse fokuserer på de ansattes holdninger i luftfartsbranchen til temaerne arbejde, uddannelse og klima. Undersøgelsen er gennemført med hjælp fra fem af de fagforbund, som organiserer luftfartsbranchen i Danmark ved hjælp af et webbaseret spørgeskema formidlet til deres medlemmerne. Særligt viser undersøgelsen, at 67% af medarbejderne på forskelligere niveauer oplever en større arbejdsbyrde i kølvandet på COVID-19 nedlukningerne. 77% siger her tilsvarende, at de i nogen eller høj grad oplever et større pres på de arbejdsmæssige rammer. Konsekvensen er blandt andet, at 71% i nogen eller høj grad oplever de har en større bekymring for luftfartsbranchens fremtid end tidligere. Flertallet af medarbejderne, særligt det flyvende personale, vurderer dog, at EU’ s ansættelsesretslige lovgivning på nuværende tidspunkt kun i begrænset omfang sikrer tilstrækkelige arbejdsvilkår , ligesom 6 ud af 10 oplever begrænset eller ingen politisk opmærksomhed og opbakning til branchen i Danmark. Et problem der især fremhæves af det flyvende personale, som også er den jobkategori, hvor flest oplever, at deres kompetencer kun i begrænset omfang kan anvendes inden for andre brancher. Generelt oplever 68% af de adspurgte medarbejdere, at der ikke eksisterer tilstrækkeligt med efter- og videreuddannelse målrettet luftfart. I forhold klima viser undersøgelsen endvidere, at medarbejderne vurderer realismen ift. omstilling af luftfarten højere, jo længere tid der er til at målene skal indfries. De fleste af medarbejderne i undersøgelsen mener, at trafikudviklingen i fremtiden vil vende tilbage til udvikling fra før COVID-19, men at fremtidens luftfart vil være præget af klimamæssig omstilling og øget digitalisering.

    VEXAS (vakuoler, E1-enzym, genvariant på X-kromosomet, utoinflammation, somatisk)-syndrom er et autoinflammatorisk syndrom først beskrevet i 2020. VEXAS-syndrom skyldes en genvariation med dysfunktion i ubiquitin-like modifier activating enzyme 1-genet (UBA1) i hæmatopoietiske stamceller i knoglemarven, hvilket fører til systemisk inflammation. Sygdommen rammer primært midaldrende til ældre mænd, da UBA1 er lokaliseret på X-kromosomet. De hyppigste symptomer er hududslæt, feber, vægttab, øjenaffektion, kondritis, artralgier og venøse tromboembolier. I knoglemarvsaspiratet er der karakteristiske vakuoler i myeloide og erytroide stamceller, og det kan være ledsaget af regelret myelodysplasi (MDS), monokolonal gammopati af ukendt betydning eller myelomatose [1]. VEXAS (vacuoles, E1 enzyme, X-linked, autoinflammatory, somatic) syndrome is a newly discovered complicated autoinflammatory syndrome associated with haematological and rheumatological manifestations, recognized for the first time in 2020. In this case report, we describe the first case of VEXAS syndrome in the North Denmark Region. A 76-year-old male was briefly admitted with COVID-19 and a myriad of symptoms including jaw pain, arthralgia, skin rash, malaise, intermittent fever and weight loss. After a prolonged diagnostic evaluation, VEXAS syndrome was suspected and confirmed with the presence of a mutated ubiquitin-like modifier activating enzyme 1 (UBA1) gene.

    Velkommen til antologien “Studier af relevante og tidstypiske digitale udfordringer i en dansk/nordisk kontekst.” Antologien er rettet til ledere og ansvarlige for digitaliseringsaktiviteter i danske virksomheder ogorganisationer, som er nysgerrige på den forskning, der foregår på IT-universitetets institut ”Business IT”. Vi har samlet en række artikler som viser et bredt udsnit af den forskning som foregår på instituttet Business IT - i daglig tale kaldet BIT. BIT har et større antal forskere, der til dagligt forsker og underviser ide mange aspekter og bevægelser, som digitalisering afføder i samfundet og i offentlige som private virksomheder. Oftest er vores artikler på engelsk. Mange af forskerne er internationale og kommer fra forskellige regioner i verdenen. Sammen deltager vi på konferencer i udlandet og udgiver i engelsksprogede tidsskrifter. Med denne udgivelse har vi valgt at gøre noget ved den engelsksprogede formidlingstradition, idet vi som et eksperiment har fået oversat otte artikler til dansk af bureauet Hurtigoversætter. Vi mener de otte artikler er relevante og aktuelle i en dansk kontekst, og så dækker de bredt over hvad BIT-forskerne interesserer sig for og forsker i. Studierne spænder bredt i både deres tilgang inden for forskningsområderne: Informationssystemer (IS),Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) og Science and Technology Studies (STS). Ligeledes er der anvendt forskellige dataindsamlingsmetoder såsom etnografiske studier, casestudier og kvantitative undersøgelser. I samlingen finder du således studier om anvendelse af digitalisering på samfundsplan samt på organisationsplan i såvel private som offentlige virksomheder. Nogle studier har fokus på implementering af bestemte platformsteknologier eller teknologier som blockchain, AI eller fænomener som e-valg. Andre handler om ledelsesopgaven i relation til digitaliseringsstrategier og innovation, ledelse af medarbejdere under Covid-19 eller udfordringer med teknostress i forbindelse med den stigende digitalisering.

    Authors: Byles, Kia Michelle;

    There has been a steady rise of focus being placed on wellbeing throughout Denmark, showing that overall wellbeing is declining. This paper focuses on how social acceleration and a competitive society affect both families and nurseries and how they then affect young children’s (ages 1-6) wellbeing.A critical approach is taken, and the empirical data consists of interviews with pædagogs (nursery assistants/social educators) and parents’ answers from open questions in a questionnaire.The analysis demonstrates how parents and pædagogs experience social acceleration in society and how it affects their role as parents and pædagogs. The paper considers the impact of these effects on young children's omnipresence of alienation and their wellbeing. Analysis of the qualitative data shows that pædagogs experienced an alternative “frame” under covid-19, which enabled them to set a “frame” for the children to be able to resonate and increase wellbeing amongst the children.The paper discusses how the omnipresence of alienation in adults around children can have a negative impact on the children's wellbeing and how it can affect how the children experience their own omnipresence of alienation.The paper also discusses how parents and pædagogs understand and value the term wellbeing. Understanding the term helps the adults to construct a frame to advance the children's experience of their wellbeing is also discussed.The results of this paper show that the acceleration of our society has an impact on how parents parent their young children, and how parents are stressed by the pressure to be the perfect parent within society's frame. The societal pressure of always having to move on to the next thing, and not having time to just be, affects the children's experience of the omnipresence of alienation and their wellbeing.The results of the paper also show that the daginstitution (nursery) is subject to the social acceleration in society where measurable competition and performances take priority over children's wellbeing, where wellbeing is immeasurable.

    Sygeplejerskerne er en central brik i opretholdelsen af de danske hospitaler og velfærdssamfundet generelt. Professionen har dog længe været udfordret af et højt effektivitets- og produktivitetspres, omorganiseringer af sundhedsområdet, stram økonomi, politiske krav, COVID-19 og høj personaleomsætning. I 2030 forventes der at mangle mindst 8.200 sygeplejersker. Viden om samspillet mellem sygeplejerskernes arbejdsvilkår og -motivation er en forudsætning for at vende udviklingen. Denne artikel er baseret på seks fokusgruppeinterviews med i alt 18 sygeplejersker på et stort hospital og analyserer forskningsspørgsmålet: ”Hvad er samspillet mellem erfarne sygeplejerskers arbejdsvilkår og motivation efter COVID-19? Artiklen udleder, at erfarne hospitalssygeplejerskers motivation er langt mere nuanceret end den traditionelle kaldstanke foreskriver og i høj grad indgår i samspil med deres arbejdsvilkår. Mange sygeplejersker er fortsat intrinsisk motiverede af især patientplejen og samarbejdet med kollegerne, og er villige til at nedprioritere både familieliv og fritidsinteresser for deres arbejde. Effektivitetskrav, stram økonomisk styring, tidspres, omorganiseringer og manglende ledelse tilskynder dog til forskellige former for ekstrinsisk motivation. Desuden skaber arbejdsvilkårene dilemmaer mellem sygeplejerskernes moral og handlemuligheder, familie- og arbejdsliv samt deres fysiske og mentale helbred. Artiklen identificerer autonomi, fællesskab, lavere arbejdspres samt tydeligere ledelse som centrale for sygeplejerskernes intrinsiske motivation og fastholdelse.

    Authors: Qvortrup, Lars; Wistoft, Karen;

    Authors: Byles, Kia Michelle;
